I've ripped the Tinyhawk for so many hours, ran square into rock walls and the only problem I've had is a broken frame, and with marine heat shrink I can repair the broken motor supports. This is absolutely the best quad for beginners. 165.00 for everything, and you don't have to worry about breaking it. Learn out in the open, but don't lose it. Buy at least 15 batteries, and you can fly non stop, and its so much fun you will want to. I don't work for e max, I just wish I had this quad to start with, my skill level would be far ahead of what it is now, but having the Tinyhawk has moved me forward tremendously.

You have a first batch Tiny Hawk. Starting with the second batch, the low voltage brown out and short flight times was fixed with a capacitor on the 3.3v pad. Also a new 6 port charger is now being included. 👍
I got mine a few days ago from Roto Riot and it has the fixes done to it.

I got the new 6 in 1 charger, but i cant find capacitor at 3,3v pad.. But it has capacitor at the backside of the vbat pad
@BumpierDrake9606 жыл бұрын
The 3.3v pad is near the bind button next to the front board mounting screw on the underside of the quad... if it has a tiny cap bridging those pads, your good.

Really good fpv flying Pete, man you went into some tight spaces. I would think that they could have enclosed the frame on the bottom as well to protect the receiver and have small landing gear on it.
@RCEscape6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Greg :) 🍺🍺🎄🎄This is a great tight quarters flyer but still can fly with some freedom since it has enough power with them brushless motors. I think it is ok for the bottom to be bare since the whole idea is to have unrestricted air flowing beneath it. Just gotta land safely :)

Thanks for the review. This seems a bit more tough than the mobula7, which I have and the frame is already shredded after a few days of flying. Do you think this one is on par with the acro performance of the Mobula?
@RCEscape6 жыл бұрын
Prop Wash The Tiny I think has better controllability in tighter spaces and has about similar power vs 1s’ed Mobula but no comparison with the 2s’ed mobula which is a rocket 🚀!!! This also is a bit tougher to break than the mobula since the canopy is built in and the prop guards are like shock absorbers but the camera is vernerable.

@@RCEscape Well gosh darn it, my LHS website had a sale going on right now and they have the tinyhawk as well as batteries. I got one. I think this might work for my son over the gt7 as it is 1s rather than 2s and I can tame the throttle via tx. Funny thing is though I ordered a gt7 too. OMG

It doesn't fly like a whoop. I've put 100's of batteries through the tiny hawk, supper tough. Its a bit under powered for freestyle, but not impossible. I can do a freestyle, but racing is more fun. You don't need to worry about crashing, I've hit rock walls at full speed, the camera may dislodge but Nick Burns has a video showing how to put back in place without taking it apart. A little practice and its easy. Thanks for the review Imo its the best way to get into fpv, and its made me more confident flying my 5 in.. Helps a lot getting used to goggles , and hitting gaps.

Question, how did you actually go about binding it to your Taranis?
@RCEscape5 жыл бұрын
It is the same procedure as any frsky receiver. Press the bind button on the fc as shown @78:38 and power up the fc at the same time, that will put the receiver in a binding mode. Set up a D8 model on the taranis and hit the bind key. Disconnect the power sourcing the fc. Exit out on the taranis.
@xpane5 жыл бұрын
@@RCEscape my Taranis won't bind to the tinyhawk no matter how many times I try. Also not sure if it's set up properly. Don't get a failsafe option anymore. Haven't a clue as to what all the settings are for.
@didactylos4diddy4746 жыл бұрын
As yet I've not seen anyone actually break or damage those props. Even I failed to after landing in a bush and later on twigs. Apart from my rubbish flying the only problem I had was the relatively poor range of the FPV. I'm not sure that is entirely relevant and probably could be modded/fixed. Nice tip on the batteries :)
@RCEscape6 жыл бұрын
didactylos4 diddy4 Yup!!! When it is advertised as an indoor flyer, they are on the money but man...it performs outside too!!! Maybe the vtx could have been placed slightly further apart from the fc and 100mW would have been nice!!!😁
@papadocquadshop21086 жыл бұрын
@@RCEscape someone has a video nodding the vtx, and another putting a lollipop type antenna on, it really helped in both cases, however the vtx used was small , and up to 200mw, but I think it shortens flight time considerably.
@papadocquadshop21085 жыл бұрын
The antenna mod is good but the vtx mod kills the battery way to quick. Also if you use a heat gun and remove the outside plastic from a lollipop it doesn't add any weight. I put heat shrink on mine once removed.

@RCEscape6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think also that this Tiny is the only stretched frame whoop and that is making it more stable and makes it a great beginner acro trainer. Yes, just set the jumper to the frsky mode and not the frsky-x mode. 🍺🍺🤪
