Embarkation & Room Tour | 7-Night Disney Alaska Wonder Cruise Vlog 2 | 25th Disney Cruise Line 2023

Join us as we embark on our 7-night cruise aboard the Disney Wonder out of Vancouver, CA to the South Sawyer Glacier, Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan, Alaska!
It's embarkation day!! Time for us to get the best cruise ever underway as we say goodbye to our hotel and head over to Vancouver Place to board the ship! After a fairly easy journey and check-in process, we finally make it onto the Disney Wonder! While we wait for our room to be ready, we'll stop by the French Quarter Lounge to attempt to make some dining arrangements, then head up to Deck 9 to grab some lunch. In the midst of eating, Cheyenne makes a desperate attempt to say hi to Moana (spontaneous character meet and greets are the best!). Then it's time to get Cody some coffee at Cove Cafe before heading up to Deck 10 for exploring and a quick tour of the top deck. After a word from our wonderful sponsors, it's time to check out our stateroom for the next 7 nights! We are in a category 07A Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah and we'll give you a full tour just in case it's your first time seeing the stateroom! On sea days, the shops are open most of the day! It's just port days where they open later since they need to wait until they're out of port to open 😊

COnsidering Disney is such a huge company with such a large number of hotel rooms and all the ships , I am surprised that H2O went out of business. I would think Disneys business on its own would keep H2O in business

H20+ will probably be gone before the year is up since Pola Orbis Holdings who owns H20+ discontinued the brand in 2022. Per WDWMagic, "Going forward, H2O Plus will fulfill its obligation to supply products in accordance with agreements with its business partners, and proceed with dissolution procedures during the second half of 2023. Subsequently, the liquidation will be concluded upon the completion of the necessary procedures."

So sad!! 😭 At least we were able to enjoy the products one last time on the Alaska cruise. Hopefully the products replacing H2O will smell just as good!

@@WendandWander They replaced the H2O products with Elemis. I guess the smell could be described as "different", but still kind of like the same level as H2O - if that makes sense. You could tell it was quality for sure. The smells were more "organic" and maybe somewhat subdued compared to the H2O stuff.

Luckily we've since found out that he just seems to have a gluten (and dairy, to a lesser extent) sensitivity, so he's doing much better now!

Curious what security was bothered about …

Sometimes the scanners can't get a good enough look at something due to how it sits in a bag, so security will have to open the bag and take a look. Usually it's something electronic, like a power bank or portable hard drive. I've been stopped twice by TSA when I had a thick book that muddled the image of a power bank.

We can't even remember what it was exactly that they needed to check Cody for, but we do think that it was just something electronic. Not anything nearly as exciting as the "throwing star" we supposedly had with us on our Fantasy cruise 🤣
