The Inside Passage! | 7-Night Disney Alaska Wonder Cruise Vlog 3 | 25th Disney Cruise Line 2023

Join us as we sail through the inside passage during our 7-night cruise aboard the Disney Wonder out of Vancouver, CA to the South Sawyer Glacier, Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan, Alaska!
It's our first day at sea for our Alaska cruise and you know what that (usually) means - the Inside Passage! The day starts off incredibly foggy, but luckily it clears up just in time for us to enjoy some breakfast on the verandah before heading out on deck to take in all the views and take part in a fun scavenger hunt! After some Marvel trivia, we head up to the deck again for more sightseeing (and ice cream), before heading down to eat lunch on our verandah.
After relaxing in our stateroom for a bit, it's once again foggy, so naturally we need to go up and investigate. Because we aren't going to the main dining room tonight, we take advantage of the empty ship to deliver some fish extender gifts and hide some ducks! When we come back to our stateroom, we have a fun surprise to unbox before it's time for more trivia. Finally, we show you the beautiful Alaska nighttime views and then call it a night!

Yes, major kudos to them! Not only did they organize it, but they made those awesome rubber bracelets and provided prizes. That's why we always recommend joining the Facebook groups for each cruise - you never know what fun things other cruisers might be planning!

Didn’t you hear me screaming go into the shops while they are empty? A Disney Alaska cruise would be fun…our favorite cruise so far has been our Holland America land and sea Alaska cruise. We saw so much wildlife . HAL has a naturalist onboard that helps spot whales and other wildlife 👍🏼

Ahaha we did not! But we were worried we'd miss out on the merch so brave the crowds we did! Did they have the naturalist on the cruise the whole time? Disney had a naturalist on board too, which was awesome, but only on Day 3 when we went into Tracy Arm. 😊

You’re both wearing snow hats throughout the vlog. Besides the after dark freezing walk on deck 10 was it cold on the ship? I saw the shorts so I think not but just checking.

During the day, the hats were mostly to get us in the Alaska spirit since it was surprisingly warm! Later on in the days/evenings, though, there were definitely some moments where it was quite cold and windy.

What vlogging camera do you use? Or would you suggest

During these Alaska vlogs, we mostly used our GoPro Hero 7 and the Sony ZV-1. In our opinion, the Sony ZV-1 is great for vlogging because it's very much a point and shoot camera that looked great (in our opinion) without having to fiddle with a bunch of settings. We're not tech people by ANY means, so we greatly appreciated that aspect of it!

The time of year that Disney goes on Alaska cruises isn't typically known to be northern lights season, but we've heard of some people being able to see them during solar flare ups or late in the season in Sept! We never saw any indication that they'll wake you up if there happen to be northern lights, but we think that's definitely something they should implement!
