The second group of three numbers is a serial number sequence starting at 101 for diplomats, 400 for non-diplomatic staff of international organisations, and 700 upwards for consular or other non-diplomatic staff.

So on their website the Caledonian club says: Membership is open to all Scots or those with a close association or empathy with Scotland and appreciation of its culture and traditions. Next time maybe you could ask for an application form where appreciation of the rights to film in a public place is intrinsic to Scottish culture and tradition!
