Thank you dear Joanne - I’ve been happily stitching on the embellishments this evening - it’s lovely as the thread melds them into the pieces. Happy stitching. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡

Yes,Christine, it has cooled down a bit! Now,I'm worried for the stitchery swap to you,it is late,I think...hope it will arrive!! The pouch is so beautiful, love everything you put on it! The rose panel is gorgeous together with that fabric lining. Wow! TFS ❤

Looking wonderful, all your accents are beautiful (sorry embellishments) aww so much pretty beaded lace. Love the tread painting, I love doing this so relaxing, discovered this when I did squares the first time GBLSS only did birds bit unsure about flowers so throughly enjoyed how you explained this thank you learnt so much. Yep definitely going to do a nice pouch that will be smaller than yours for when I do the squares, will be wonderful to have a little pouch envelope to keep my project in. Have a lovely day sigh gardening, yep need to get in and do some it’s just so hot outside, me I’m a fall spring person, love these times oh well shouldn’t grumble. Thanks for a lovely watch.

Hi Paula 🤗 I actually like the word accent as that’s what these pieces do. It really is so relaxing to thread paint and is a type of painting it seems I can do 😂 I’m a spring and Autumn loved as well - at least in terms of being out and doing physical activity on the garden - I was red as a tomato after yesterday’s exertions (not burnt, just overheated 🫣) cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡

It’s a month later that I’m watching and in Canada it’s winter winding down. The temperature is +3 Celsius and kind of foggy cloudy and a perfect day to craft! I volunteer in a thrift shop so I rescue many little bits that are heading for the bin!

Thank you Christine for showing the thread painting. I’ve done some but learned so much more watching you, eg. The anchoring and couching. Will you be doing any on the leaves? I’d love to see that. ❤️

❤❤ Love how you rearranged the embellishments.😊😊 I kept talking to you on if it looked good or grab next piece or different placement. 😅😅😊😊 Would love to see you finish more of the thread painting for inspiration. You explain it so that the stitches you do are to create certain effects on the flower. 😊😊 Question? Most of the ladies I've seen doing this are using felt for the base to put their fabrics on and give body and support for their stitches. Couldn't I do the same thing using quilt batting? The felt I've seen in the USA isn't the kind I would want to use a project being washed. I'm sure I could just checking if you've done it or seen others use it. Thank you for all your inspiration on this project as I will be starting mine next week. 😊😊
@createandcraftwithchristine10 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching anc commenting - I’m so happy you were working out layout of the embellishments alongside me. You can most definitely use quilt batting for your pouch - I’m just using felt as that’s what I have available. Happy stitching 💙🧵🪡 cheers, Christine

This is so beautiful. Can you share the dimensions of the pieces of the felt that you started with. I am new to slow stitching and am working on a small pouch now but want to do another larger one and do some lace/doily pockets in the inside-got that idea from Corrine.

Thanks so much - the felt was approximately 52cm by 30cm. Happy stitching. Cheers, Christine
