Hello!!
In todays video I talk to you about how I’ve managed to raise a baby in a small home. Babies come with a lot of gear and it can be overwhelming in your house. To try and manage all that clutter, Ive found some hacks to reduce gear. For all the gear that is essential, there are also ways to keep the house visually clutter free. I hope you enjoy this video and get something out of it!

I will have my first in our small city flat with 49 sqm = 529 sqf. We also have two cats so it's getting tight, just happy baby will come in summer so I can somehow utilize the outside - I know newborns aren't suppossed to be in the sun ...

I didn't even think of under the bed storage. We live in a two bedroom apartment, but won't plan on having a nursery, instead the plan will be to put a bassinet in our room then switch to a pack n play. Our other room is an office and I'd prefer the baby sleep in our room anyway. We plan to get a bigger place eventually, but not for a couple years. These are great ideas.

We lived in small places with each baby. Studio apartment with our 1st, one bedroom with our 2nd, and finally three bedroom with our expected 3rd. It's so much space we haven't even been using our "bedroom". Limiting the baby gear we got really helped. We also keep clothing super minimal since we live in a hot climate.

I also noticed you have a lot of sloped ceilings. As a interior designer I can tell you that significantly cuts into your square footage. While 900sqft seems like a lot to some people it all depends on the layout of your place. In actuality, you may even have half the amount that is advertised on appraisals.

My partner and I live in a tiny house we built 2 years ago ❤️ I think we’ll be good for the first 2 years in this space until we build another and do more modular living so there’s a separate room for the little one to sleep. It’s amazing what you can do in a small space and it amazes me how much stuff you could buy for a bubba if you went with every recommendation!

500sqft here! Totally agree with most of these tips. We dont have a washer/dryer so having less clothes just won't work. Also, we dont have room for a table so the regular highchair will work better for us. We are VERY minimalistic with baby items.

I'm close to my due date and we live in a 390 sqft appartment. We don't plan to move till our baby is 2 years old. I'm always jealous of all the space you have when I watch your vlogs. Haha. Living in such a small space is a pain at times. All of your tips were great but I feel like You are still able to have (and have) a lot of unnecessary things and decorations in your home.

We moved from a 300sqft bachelor apartment to a 500sqft 1bdrm apartment a couple of years ago. Now we've gotten married and are expecting our first baby early next year. I'm sure we'll be fine for the first year, but after baby is about a year, I think having a second bedroom would be really nice.

We bought a car seat and play yard gates for our infant. That's IT. We were otherwise INUNDATED with hand-me-downs from siblings and friends whose kids had grown out of their items. Most of the stuff was awesome and we were so thankful to be given all of it, but at a point it became overwhelming how much clothing and toys we were being given, and we started having to say no, thank you. How much can one baby wear and play with? Our older relatives are still buying our baby new clothing and toys. I keep reminding them how much we have, but apparently it's fun to shop for kids. :/

We live in 1000 with two kids, it feels like a lot of room tbh😂 but we also keep all the baby stuff in their room so the living room isn't a tripping hazard.... And the biggest place my family had before I moved out was 1400... Of course with the kids gone it's a big house now lol

I remind family often but they're pretty bad, I don't even know what else to say. My mom is buying toys and things that he won't even be able to use for over a year or two and even mentioned buying me TWO nursing pillows so I can have one downstairs and upstairs..I did shut that one down quickly haha. I'm also still pregnant - due in two months! It's not too small a house but its laid out poorly and we have no storage. The nursery is tiny, only 70 square feet. Even without a baby we've maxed the closets and wall space for extra cabinets and dressers and we live pretty minimally! The family "support" is so overwhelming.

I’m pregnant and living in 900sqft with my husband. I feel I have plenty of room for this baby since we have two bedrooms and a large kitchen. I feel like 900sqft is normal? I lived in a 1000sqft apartment with my 3 siblings and parents for years and we were perfectly fine.

I agree it’s not extremely small but it’s not huge. We don’t have a garage or anywhere to store our stuff besides closets so things get tight. Like I said, the baby’s room doesn’t have a closet for baby gear so I’ve had to get creative on how to store things 😊

I don’t have a garage or basement so everything has to be stored in closets! If rooks bedroom was solely for him, then there’s plenty of space. But his bedroom is also the “laundry” room and the “garage” storage wise. ☺️
