So part of a forecast might go something like "Dogger. 1021. Rising slowly". The joke here comes from the fact that in British English 'dogger' also refers to someone who engages in the practice of clandestine public sex in their car in the view of strangers, who come to watch for their own gratification. Hence him saying "Dogger. Car park. My penis. Rising slowly."

Frankie was an original on the show and did the first seven series of the show before getting kicked off as too offensive. (There used to be two regulars and a guest on each side. Now its just Dara and Hugh.) Frankie got banned from the BBC for a while but got back on around the Scottish Referendum when they needed Scottish comedians. Most of the "too hot for TV" special episodes are mostly Frankie. You picked one of the "best bits" specials instead. There's basically three types of doctors call on the NHS. There's a regular appointment that takes a week. (checkup or sore hip) There's an emergency appointment that can be the same or next day. (You're ill.) Then there's a home visit if you can't make it to the doctor, and he judges if you need to go to the hospital. (You're bedridden) There's no fee, they get paid an agreed rate by the NHS per person seen. (some have contracts stating they don't do home visits.) In Scotland there's no prescription charges. Your medication is free. (Again covered by the NHS through money provided by the Scottish government.) An example would be, I fell on Sunday, went to casualty and got stitches. I called on the Monday to arrange and get my stitches out on the following Monday at a local health centre at their treatment room. When I cleaned the wound on Tuesday it looked iffy, I phoned an appointment and got a doctor to call me back same day. I sent him a picture of the wound. I got prescribed antibiotics, my sister picked up the prescription for me same day. All with minimum fuss and no cost to me, other than my taxes that I'm already paying. I've been told the bill in the states would be massive. A&E is our casualty department in the local hospital, you would call it an ER. (Again all costs covered by the NHS) Accident and Emergency and Emergency Room. Wards in a British hospital are lettered. i.e. ward N South, Ward G, etc. and usually correspond to the floor of the building they are on. (Our taxes covers the NHS funding.) B&Q is our version of Home Depot.

When British people say a doctor they normally mean a GP or family medical practitioners in the US. Yes you can wait a while for an appointment, but if it's an emergency it's normally possible to see one that day. I had to see a doctor the other day, phoned up and booked an appointment for that very day, but simple things you can wait a while. It all comes down to priorities, like do you have a just cough compared to, are you coughing up blood. The other thing you have to realise is that in the UK we go to the doctor if we do not feel right, preventive care. Preventive care is when someone integrates healthy behaviors into their lifestyle, they are practicing preventive care. This type of care takes place before any signs or symptoms of a condition or disease have been detected. So Doctor can get booked up a lot. Whereas in the States it's more likely you only go when you really need to, so reactive care, but by that time it could already be to late. In the UK we don't go to a hospital unless it's really bad, then you go to A&E (accident and emergency), where you will be seen in an hour or two, again down to priorities, as you maybe que jumped by someone that's been in a car crash.

It's a panel show and that section is a regular feature but for the most part it's on the same line as "Have I Got News For You?"

Jeremy Kyle=Jerry Springer. He had a US show at 1 point

Also relevant is that his UK TV show was canceled after one of his guests committed suicide at least partly due to the complete lack of support from the show. Side note: Many moons ago I used to work at a hotel in Salford that had the contract to put up the Jeremy Kyle Show's out out town guests. I remember such classic examples as the guy who ordered toast one morning then blurted "Oh, no! I can't eat anything! I'm having a DNA test later!"

Ok guys. This is a panel show and what you are watching is only a part of the show. It has different comedians on every week but there are comedians who are on everyweek like hugh dennis and frankie boyle for some seasons. These clips are from a season that Frankie Boyle wasn't on. You really need to see a whole show to get the concept of it as the other parts are just as funny or more where frankie boyle is concerned.

Ye Frankie Biyle was always hilarious and likes to push boundaries. Also I think you should check out Mrs Brown's Boys. It's so so funny. They even leave in out takes.

Mock The Week was created by the same people who created Who's Line. That comedian with the longer hair that you asked who he was. He is Ed Byrne.

‘Mock the Week’ is a comedy panel show featuring different comedians or celebrities each episode. Frankie Boyle was a regular for many seasons - and that was earlier on in his career At its peak it was a very good, funny and popular series

Yes - that’s Stewart Francis and Katharine Ryan No - They’re Canadian 🇨🇦

Whereas Whose Line is pretty much all about the stage performance, most of Mock the Week is in a news quiz format similar to Have I Got News For You but with even less concern for the correct answers, as long as they can pile on the jokes.

We nicked the judge Judy idea, and got our own UK one called Judge Rinder Or judge Romesh Judge Romesh is a British comedy television show broadcast on Dave. It features Romesh Ranganathan settling disputes in a fictional civil court. The show is unscripted, and the claimant and defendant are generally members of the public, although some cases are between celebrities.

Fun fact: Teletubbies was filmed just south of Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire. This is the birthplace of William Shakespeare and the long-term home of Gordon Ramsay. A little place called Sweet Knowle in Wimpstone.

The wait to see a doctor is based on emergency - if its a minor injury or concern, you can safely wait 1-2 weeks should the condition not get worse. If its a moderate concern, you can say its a bigger deal and you can get a quicker appointment than that. If its a potential medical emergency or a concern that can permanently cause you long term damage or disability without intervention to reverse it, you go straight to A&E. Depending on urgency of it at hospital, it could be immediate care (heart attack, stabbing, car crash, stroke), care in a couple hours (mental health crisis, minor crash or accident injury) or many hours for emergencies below those. The idea is you're safer at the hospital if things need more urgent response, even if waiting is unpleasant, because you're literally waiting for beds to become available. Waiting time is based on urgency and availability. If 100 people got transported to one hospital after a major traffic accident, your sprained wrist will need to wait until doctors can see you. It seems like a big deal, but this is all free and triaged treatment. If you're feeling extremely distressed due to mental health crisis, you can call an ambulance and they will bring you to hospital for free so you're safer and can receive psychiatric care - not immediate sectioning or the police. Chronic pain conditions can be supplementary treated with gas and air (oxygen diluted nitrous oxide) until more intense pain relief can be provided and safely supervised by an available doctor (such as opiates). Its not a perfect system, and without proper governmental funding it'll only decline. But it keeps every person in need of care, getting care. If you want your concerns seen quicker no matter the triage, you can pay out of pocket for private healthcare.

perfectly said, FREE healthcare is there for all, but those who WANT paid healthcare can get it - whereas in the US you pay for everything - also as a side note our british paid healthcare is still like 1/3 of the price of the American healthcare so the Yanks are still getting fucked over by their country
