Has anyone ever noticed the amount of Jurassic Park References are in this show? Example's: Tentacles of Doom - Ted: "Cloning Dinosaurs" A Christmassy Ted - TV Announcer: "and now on BBC1 the director's cut of Jurassic Park with extra dinosaurs." The Passion of St. Tibulas - Cinema Manager: "This is the most successful film we've had since Jurassic Park." Anyone got anymore?

It's such a pity what happened to Dermot Morgan, but what a legacy he left in Father Ted. It was made a while ago but people remember it or discover it and get a great laugh. You can't day that for every comedy. RIP Dermot Morgan.

@@stephanthomas4410 Series 3 was always going to be the final series, regardless. The writers made that decision while writing series 3, and Dermot had separately decided he wasn't going to do Father Ted anymore.

One of my favourite episodes. Three Bishops turn up to upgrade the Holy Stone. By the end of the episode one of them is dead, another has become a hippy and the third has had the Holy Stone shoved up his arse. Glorious! 🤣

The Ferrero Rocher all piled up on a tray is in reference to the Ferrero Rocher 'The Ambassador's reception' advert from the early '90s - one of the dignitaries in that advert (the one who says "Eccelente" in it) played one of the nazis in 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' whose face got melted at the end.

The Dog on That's Life refers to talking dogs on the BBC show "That's Life". That had dogs with growling noises that sound like words like "I want one", "Raymond" and the most famous "Sausages". The dog saying Sausages is the most famous. It's too old for me to remember first time around so I guess they repeated the clip every time a new animal came on the show. Prime-Time on a Sunday night, the whole nation watching this! lol.

This was an obscenity to the Catholic Church, but it was the funniest programme around at the time. Dermot Morgan and the lads and ladette made this programme a cult classic for all time. RIP fella.
