I prefer traditional petticoat with sheer saree. The point of wearing this type of shaped petticoat is appearing slim and sexy while wearing saree, but sheer saree shows the petticoat and ruins the visual by creating different shape lines. But traditional petticoat has the same shape as shape saree draping creates so it looks symmetrical.

I love being able to do it myself and come out and show her and seeing the pride all over my in laws faces. I’m still learning it’s not easy especially since it’s not an everyday wear but I do wear them a lot and love them! Both the mekhelas and sarees! 🩷 if you know how can you do a mekhela tutorial! You can use pins to keep everything intact! The drawstring on the Saree Silhouette is also great at holding the pleats in place once tucked in.

I'm seeing this for the first time and I'm just curious but do you have to do a lot of adjusting during the day? I feel like it would just fall off really easily with how it's just tucked a little like that. Or is this something you wear for special occasions? I can't imagine having one hand constantly holding onto my clothes when bending over for example or doing housework

There’s a little notch on the inside for holding the pleated ends when she tucks it in, also that’s why it has to be long enough, so nothing gets pulled on. That did happen to me once when I was a kid, but let’s just say you have to take “very demure, very mindful” to a whole new level when wearing saris

@@ushabhende4040 it’s not about how do u drape a saree. It’s about how sarees are made. Don’t mind but I’m from a family where we are wearing sarees from centuries. Just pick up the heaviest saree from your wardrobe and you’ll find the starting point of the saree will be plain. All the work and embroidery take place at the bottom of the sarees. So that one can easily drape it and it gives very neat and clean finishing. ☺️😊
