A friend tried to dig through crushed gravel driveway without success. He called TTWT (tractor 911) to come to the rescue. We help our friends dig a trench for a gate opener. EdgeTamer.com

To aid in your bucket clogging problem, yes Pam or use motor oil will work, but not environmental friendly. Try this for a solution, cut a piece of heavy duty mud flap like on commercial truck, the anti sail type, or a piece of belting from a bailer or conveyor, the lenght should be from the hinge end to the tooth end following the contour, not straight across. Attach with bolts at each end. When your operate the bucket the insert will fling the mud out as you dump. I use an abrasive disk to cut the lining material, a hollow punch of hole saw can do the holes. Like your videos, my favorite color might be "Orange or Red". Best to you and your family.👍

I have the tooth bar also - use a pressure washer when it is handy (rare) Also the hooks on top - ugh have to buy smaller chain ! the hooks are small in the throat for the nice Truck chain and log chain I have. I can just start a wedge on the chain itself. The hooks won't mesh! I keep several small chains in my 'extra' hole on the right side of the tractor - e.g. large soda ... And a red rag. I load a box on the bucket and chain between the hooks to keep the box trapped. Kinda handy for small jobs. Spotted this older year old show. Yea.

An old trick my dad used to keep from getting the bucket clogged was spray it with used motor oil it also protects it from rust he also sprayed the bottom of the mower deck and I still so that today it works great. Not sure how well Pam would hold up over time.
@truckinchihuahuaalvieschre24947 жыл бұрын
Tim if you keep having problems with dirt coming out of your bucket on your backhoe paint it with motorkote it's a lubricant that you normally put in your oil of your vehicle or your transmission anything that has lubrication. It works one thing I have found where it really shines is painting it on your mower deck after you clean it about every 4th mowing. And you won't have grass sticking to it at all. I have not tried it in my bucket on my back hoe yet but it sure seems to help on the bucket on the loader. It just makes its slicker and dirt don't seem to stick. Go to the automotive section at Walmart and you will find it right around the Lucas. Or you can go to motorkote.com just a thought.

This video brings up a thought I've had in the past after talking to the electricians at work. They were digging up some electrical conduit and replacing it to add more wire going to the building that would require larger conduit. The electrician told me that no matter how much he sealed the conduit it will fill with water over time, this brought up the thought of where is it coming from if everything is sealed. One of the key places the water must have been coming from was sweat and it runs down and collects with no outlet, therefore in order to remove the water from buried electrical conduit I wonder why they don't add a drain line that would carry the water below the conduit and allow it to absorb into the soil. We all know the issues with moisture, electricity, metals, ionization and corrosion, seems like it would be worth the extra efforts. Keep up the good work! Sincerely, Allen.

Hey Tim, I know it was a few months ago, but do you remember how long it took you dig that trench? Im guessing you went about 2ft deep and about 15ft wide. My yard has some spots that get pretty wet in the spring and fall and I was thinking of putting some drainage in and Im trying to decide if the 1025R with the 260B backhoe would be good for this project or if it would be too small. Thanks

Took only 5-10 minutes. I didn’t go but 6” deep or so. Still, the 1025r backhoe will handle what you need.

Bucket clogging issues? Lubricating the bucket is a waste of time and doesn't last. You're taking too big of bites. I own the same hoe and I'm around large excavators all the time. Stop the bite when the bucket is 3/4 full. Taking a heaping bite packs material in there. No it's not slower when you're spending time shaking the bucket out after each scoop. It's less wear and tear shaking the bucket empty, too. I found if you have to shake it loose to use the crowd instead of the bucket. I spent weeks following a Kobelco SK 210 listening and watching the operator struggle to empty a plugged bucket after every scoop. He was too greedy and too impatient.
