Saruman did travel east, though likely to stop evil that was happening in the east. I think we will see Saruman and he helps take down the dark wizard. If you look at the dark wizard's staff it looks similar to Sarumans.

There is still the possibility they both get „destroyed“ and sent back in the 3rd age when Sauron returns, their memory erased… a second chance so to speak to defeat Sauron once and for all… which Saruman fumbles again with his lust for power Gandalf forgot about his life in Valinor too in the books and lost at least parts of his memory for a time when he returned as the White

it really reveals their nature though, notice how the Orc who Betrayed Adar was questioning his Loyalty the entire time, then betrayed him........ nothing and no one can trust an orc, and Him being killed By Sauron is exactly what he deserved. I do have to give credit to Sauron's manipulative nature here too though. it had to be pretty easy to trick an orc. but given all that Adar had done already, leading them to bring down Eregion, he had no reason to betray Adar, Adar proved that he could lead them to glory, and they could have Killed Sauron.....they could have sided with the dwarves and elves and just outright Killed Sauron again, and then it would have been over just like that, there really could have been peace after that.

The epic intro with King Durin and the Balrog, the dialogue between Celebrimbor and Annatar/Sauron before he killed him, Adar's transformation, offer and death and even the obvious reveal of Gandalf at the end with the catchy tune which he and ol' Tom sang is what made me enjoy the last episode of season 2, no matter what people say I enjoy the show and can't wait for season 3!

I didn’t read Sauron’s tear being shed for Celebrimbor, it seemed more to me his reaction to Celebrimbors dying words. He sees himself as powerful, he has aspirations of being greater than Morgoth. Then Celebrimbor, even though Sauron is torturing him, expresses the relief that will come for him when he dies and calls him shadow, prisoner and mockingly “the lord of the rings” and it gets to him. Because for all his effort to bind middle earth he has also bound himself and is dependent on the power of the rings. I’m really glad that they gave Celebrimbor those last moments to say that.

This is the quality we should be getting in all of our shows in this point in time there’s no reason they need to look cheap when that’s what can be put out. Heck why not use one of the others or heck since it’s not lore era correct anyway work with the Tolkiens to creat a new wizard. How they spent 180-250 million $ on that series which could have been the next series to rival the Mandalorian series if they did something like the Plagues noval

The way I see it is I love stuff from middle earth universe so anything we get for it is enjoyable and exciting to see live we could live in a world where none of it got transferred onto the screen we got lucky there's a fan base behind this type of fantasy not a lot of humans my age watch it so enjoying as much of it while I can still get it😂

After a disappointing season 2 for House of the Dragon, this was such a great blast of fantasy for me.

I think they canonized the videogame version of Celebrimbor, Sauron sliced his finger on the spear leaving his blood, after just teasing his blood magic to him, which is what the show is telling us about the 9 rings made using his blood that leads to the wraith form

Saruman was a good guy which was the whole reason why his betrayal and fall to Sauron was so tragic. Why would not only Gandalf, but Galadriel and Elrond trust him to take care of Sauron? Why would he become the white wizard? He doesn't look like a white wizard so far. I'm more convinced it's a blue wizard, so they have a clean slate for Gandalf do defeat him.

I would love to hear more opinions on the single tear but I think Sauron sheds a tear when he kills Celebrimbor also because he knows what Celebrimbor was saying to him is true. He is a Morgoth wannabe and will never be as powerful as Morgoth in his prime. I think he was also a little sad that he killed one of the greatest smiths, being a smith himself, having learned a lot from Celebrimbor and also because he probably saw Cemebrimbor as a trophy. A talented smith who was able to create rings of power for him, he just lost his greatest "tool". I love the irony though, Sauron wanted to rule Middle Earth with rings and is then destroyed by just one ring, which Celebrimbor predicts.

The tear was silly considering how powerful this guy's is supposed to be. I mean he's of the same race as the damn Balrogs. Let that sink in for a sec. I think what happened is that he realized that he let emotions get the best of him and killed Celebrimbor. Remember he wanted to keep Celebrimbor alive until he broke him to submission. But Celebrimbor managed to hurt Sauron's feelings and and push him to react recklessly and stab him. Sauron lost control and realized that Celebrimbor mocking him as Lord of The Rings was the truth. He has become a prisoner to the power of those rings

No. The wizards always look the same and they recognize each other. The dark wizard is one of the blues gone rogue. Saruman was not corrupted until after they fought sauron late in the 3rd age. He was only an ally of mordor for a few years before the ring was destroyed.

I'm kind of liking the idea of Gandalf being the one to help the hobbits and their migration to the west and to the shire. But also his connection with Nori Brandyfoot. Which is obviously the great, great, great, great, great grandmother of Frodo Baggins/Brandybuck. Makes it so much warmer to think Gandalf just dropping in on each generation making sure they are always safe.

Wont lie there was some flaws in that story. But i like the idea of Gandalf being there when the hobbits needed it, and was the push that sent them to search for the shire again. And also his love and connection for the hobbits. Also having Tom being somewhat close to the hobbits from the start. And providing Gandalf his path to protect them gaining his staff and knowing his purpose. Tom must of known there part to play later on. Allot you can take from this.. This is a theory for if the script of ROP isn’t to bad, I believe Durins brother will take the throne in season 3, and when he does, he will send his miners out to get the resources for the payment Durin had previously promised. Durins brother will not believe Durin when he says the Balrog is down there, and will proceed to mine, opening the hole further, letting the Balrog out of the previously far too small hole. That just my theory though, hope you see this and send you’re thoughts

I think the dark wizard is not Saruman but the blue wizard who founded the cults. Look at his staff. When Gandalf finds his staff, it is the same one he has in Lord of the Rings. Saruman's staff is different. But one of the blue wizards has a staff like the one the dark wizard has in the series. Adar: I think Adar will return in another body. He always gave me the impression that he was in love with Galadriel. Now he has made his peace and I think he also suspected that he would be killed. He will now go to Mandos and be reborn in another body. Perhaps in the body of Galadriel's husband Celeborn, since we haven't seen him in the series yet. He is reported missing and we don't know what happened to him. Maybe that's why he didn't want to tell her his real name.

As game of thrones fanatics, this show is the closest to a comparison, and they completely wiped HOTD season 2. HOTD won season 1 but season 2 was average at best. This show on the other hand was very well done and only got better in season 2

But because he poured so much of his malice and evil into it, the ring would corrupt it's wearer and they would become even worse than Sauron. *Edit* That is Sauron *without* the ring. Meaning if Gandalf or Galadriel wore the Master Ring of Power and fought a ring-less Sauron, they could then destroy and overpower Sauron then.

I'm sorry but I don't understand how the wizards caused any confusion. The first group of people we see the stranger with are the harefoots, the first group we see Gandalf with the hobbits. The first people we see Saruman with are orcs and evil men, the first people we see the dark wizard with are evil men (also look at his fucking staff) We know the stranger wasn't radaghast cause he isn't a midget And we know the blue wizards came to middle earth and travelled together The only misconception I had, was early in when I thought they were going to fakeout and tell us that there was only one blue wizards, and the other was just his companion.
