Of course they're canceling a bunch of movies and shows that have nothing to do with nothing Now that we're getting closer to Secret Wars they're starting to take this a little more seriously and now fast tracking and rushing things especially after changing the storyline focus from Kang to Doom. Now Loki is taking the Beyonder's place and they have to use Doctor Strange 3 to make it make sense. Spider-Man 4 will probably be multiversal and dark, probably get his symbiote in Spider-Man 4. And we know Doctor Strange 3 is right before Secret Wars and Spider-Man 4 probably in between Doomsday and Secret Wars with Spider-Man getting his symbiote suit. Can't wait for Dr. Doom vs Dr. Strange & Doom meeting Spider-Man and Symbiote Spider-Man

@@emergencyawesome Personally, I think this isn't about Fatigue at all, and many others have come to this conclusion as well! This is the thought not only with Marvel but also with Star Wars where they try to use this reason as an excuse for their shows and movies performing poorly. The truth is, that they perform badly because instead of focusing on giving us an entertaining story, they are more focused on telling the viewers their beliefs on social, political, and racial ideals! As a person who only wants to be entertained, the last thing I want is to be told how I should be around other people who may get upset if I refer to them by their actual biological sex. I also never really like an abundance of sex scenes in tv or movies and I sure don't want to see 2 guys kissing! I am not saying I am against it, what I am saying is that I don't want it in my TV programs or movies. I would be happy to have no sexual stuff at all in the programs I watch in fact!

I’ve skipped a bunch of movies I just wait for them to go on Disney plus And even then a few of them I haven’t watched. The marvels, externals and so on I haven’t watched. Many of the ones I did watch I didn’t like. There was only 5 things marvel put out post endgame I was actually excited for. Maybe 7. Even then the number is low.

Endgame honestly started most of these issues by killing off the wrong characters, ruining the development of others (Hulk, Thor), introducing time travel, and focusing on the characters that are leaving rather than the ones that will be their successors.

I agree with this. If we kept certain characters to set them up instead I believe there would be more intrest. Also explore how it affected those who were blipprd and those that weren't. Gor example if Bucky got blipped and Sam didn't it couldv'e been a whple sub plot during Falcon and the Winter Soldier. We could of also had scenes of them talking/flashbacks of Steve training Sam to take over as Captain America if something happens to him. Or if Wanda hadn't got blipped and she had to deal with the guilt of losing Vision twice during the 5 years. And how much more impactful that would be during WandaVision where she has a life with Vision only to have it ripped away once again. Subtle changes like that would have been a great set up for these new characters coming forward while being a nice goodbye for the older cast. I believe that is why I enjoy Hawkeye so much as it does a good job setting up Kate Bishop to take over, talks (briefly) about the blip as well as some of the aftermath, and is a gret goodbye to the original Hawkeye Clint Barton.

IIRC Snipes really earned his retirement from Blade with his diva bullshit on set. Hopefully since Reynolds is endorsing Snipes, Wesley has realized he made some mistakes and is a more humble actor now, in which case I'd be personally more amenable to paying to see him in a send-off. But knowing what I knew prior I was also expecting and hoping for another actor.

I remember someone saying that _Captain America: Civil War_ was essentially an Avengers movie. I think after _Endgame_ we were ready for more Spider-Man, more Doctor Strange, and more Avengers movies. Or starting over with a combined universe of FF, Avengers and X-Men. Of course the problem with _Endgame_ is they sidelined most of the "new Avengers" they introduced to have the originals solve the Thanos problem. We never got an Avengers movie after _Age of Ultron_ with Cap, Natasha, Vision, Wanda, Sam and Rhodey, which was set up at the end. So what was the point of introducing more "new Avengers" like Shang-Chi, She-Hulk, etc. if they're not going anywhere?

​@@supersleepygrumpybear Well, if you mean the Marvel characters, a lot of them were around since the Avengers debuted in 1963. If all Kevin Feige had were the Avengers, then it would make sense to continue with the characters and villains that appeared in the series. Some characters showed up in the 1970s or '80s (Scott Lang, She-Hulk, Carol Danvers), and a few "recently" (Echo in 1999, Kamala Khan-Ms. Marvel in 2013, and Sony's Miles Morales in 2011). We've had two Spider-Man movies since _Avengers: Endgame,_ (more if you count _Across the Spider-Verse)_ and I think we probably would have gotten another Doctor Strange movie already if it had been owned by Sony, too.

I distinctly remember in 2019 the strategy with Disney+ was to connect the forthcoming series with the movies, encouraging people to get the streaming service. Hence all the enrollment promos for Disney+ now. In fact, by the time no way home was released there were many audience members who did not even “get” the Daredevil cameo which was “unusual”. Bottom line, the strategy change was clearly a failure on behalf of the corporate executives and not Kevin Feige. I’m not surprised there is a slate cleanup now. Bringing back the Russos RDJ and others is great strategy for the films, but they will have to provide streaming content that doesn’t suck now, and it will be interesting to see how they can connect it to the films which seems somewhat mandatory or -why bother. Glad to see them getting it together. Too bad for the sudden ending of many new characters we looked forward to seeing in the line up. I truly hope they get incorporated for both the actors and the hardcore Marvel fans like us.

It’s good that they’re separating television, movies, and animated series though. makes it a bit less confusing and less pressure for casual viewers to keep up with everything. Please, at some point, make an update video on each sub production studio’s release schedule so we know when the tv shows are coming and we know when the animated series are coming…. and of course the Sony stuff is it’s own thing, but nothing wrong if the characters cross over, they just gotta be able to introduce them to everyone who’s unfamiliar in an attainable way, like you said, without making it feel like anybody needs to do homework before they go and see the movie or tv show. Here's what I think happened. After _Endgame_ they weren't ready to end the MCU as we knew it as Avengers-centric. And the next two Spider-Man movies were successful. So the other projects were still from the mentality that they would be Avengers-related too. It's like no one realized they had _Fantastic Four_ and _X-Men,_ to work with. Also, in my mind I felt Feige tuned out for several years (phase 4); maybe he had long-haul COVID? Now he's getting back in charge, saying you can't do Daredevil wrong, but too late for other flops. Still if they wanted to do Phase 4 right, they needed to say what each movie and show leads to, like those diagrams they had in the crossover comics of the 1980s to tell fans what issues were related and in what order to read them. One track could have lead to the Young Avengers, while another track led to _Secret Invasion,_ and so on.

@@jonbodhi Well, that sounds like the performances given for Jar Jar and Anakin in _The Phantom Menace._ If Lucas got the performances he wanted then it's on him and not the actors. I learned recently that they started filming _Back to the Future_ with another actor for Marty and it didn't work out. So they got Michael J. Fox and filmed a lot of his scenes at night, so he could get back to day shooting of _Family Ties._

IMHO, the reasons you’ve given for their failure, sounds like talking point written by the mouse house. In reality it’s only part of the reason…the stories were meh and the characters introduced were ones that had no real following or that most people didn’t care about (with a few exceptions; Denzel as Kang would have been amazing). I hope they can create a curve that brings it back to a story that is supportable with characters people care about.

THAT makes sense. Thanks for the big scope research. Sometimes the story of all the machinations is as interesting as the actual story. I wondered why WandaVision was so deep and moving, then they suddenly just made Wanda into a kind of horror witch. I was like, "...huh?" It took away the warm feelings I had from the show.

My biggest problem post Endgame was that they had no idea how to leverage the galaxy shattering events that happened in that duology. The Snap/Blip was pretty much forgotten about as soon as they could with Spider-man being the only major movie to play with it (which they mostly did in as humorous way) and some (but not all) TV shows having related consequences. Everything I watched after Endgame I was wondering which 50% of every cast had seemingly disappeared for good only to return 5 years later, that is not something that the entire population of the galaxy just 'gets over' in a year or two. Earth should be famous around the galaxy for being the site of where the Snap originated and then 5 years later where forces united to defeat Thanos and undo it., this is *massive,* but the rest of the galaxy is just _"eh, did something happen?"_ Or take Black Panther 2 as an example _"Hey Namor, remember when half the population of your secret underwater civilization vanished into soggy dust? We helped fix that for you, so how about you show a little gratitude and don't declare war on us"._ Same thing for Secret invasion, half of the Skrulls must have disappeared and been brought back by the heroes yet they're more than happy to wipe out the humans to claim the planet. In this case the earlier point I made that the galaxy should have its eyes on Earth post Endgame should also be a factor, wiping out the humans that were responsible for ending Thanos and stealing their planet is going to be extremely bad for their already low galactic PR and make them an even bigger target. My main point being that Endgame set up such a massive change to the galaxy even if it was 'fixed' nothing would more forwards without being affected by it. I can't watch anything post endgame without wondering who spent 5 years not existing and how it affected them because it should apply to half of the people we see (on average).

Werewolf by night: quick, snappy, introduced plenty of interesting characters and most importantly delivered a simple and decent story rather than an agenda. With this special being rated by mostly all MCU fans why didn’t marvel do this with the likes of she hulk, ms marvel, iron heart, wonder man, Agatha. Would have saved themselves a lot of money and hassle and more than likely given us better content and a much better reflection of those characters.
