@@DavidBluetile Probably not. Most people buying them won't be skating them, and the Muska was the most expensive skate shoe back when it was originally released as well.

@@getbuckgetbuck Well the shoes was $105 when it came out... 25 years ago? Plus Muska actually has his name on it so they have to pay him. The OG-1 doest have a pros name attached to it because Marc skates for Adidas and it doesn't have all the TPU ollie bumps or air in the heel or any tech features. it's just a suede shoe with ridiculous padding in it haha. Prices are going up across the board so I think the $85 dollar shoe might be a thing of the past pretty soon. at least for anything with support and durability. It is worrisome since people already basically only buy sole tech when it goes on sale. that's not a good recipe for success. I def don't think sole tech is trying to milk the hype the sole tech customer just isn't accustomed to paying what a shoe is worth. maybe?

@@DavidBluetile From that angle, the price makes a little more sense for the Muska. There will be a niche group snatching those up I'm sure. But will they skate them? Guessing the majority will keep em fresh and just wear casually so no tech needed. I mean even NB#'s highest model 1010 maxes out at $110. Thing I've noticed with SoleTech is they post the original price insanely high then mark them, comparatively, down insanely. As an example $90-95 for a pair of Emerica Pillars is an unbelievable list price for a basic mid vulc with a couple extra bells. I've had 3 pairs. They're great but with one glaring flaw that is common with Emerica: the outsole doesn't last. So when the Pillar gets down to $30-55 it feels more reasonable. I realize the problem with that cycle. But obviously they initially price them over what the shoe is worth. SoleTech is more to blame than the customer imo, but that's their business model. I think a secondary market is or will emerge for off brand and actually affordable skate shoes. Chain/discount store Filas, Reebok, Adidas, Puma with flat soles and decent enough uppers. After all, we buy them to destroy in a matter of weeks. I'm still out here trying to support skate brands especially skater owned, but damn.

I have a pair of the OG1s already which they are available now in skates shops. For my wide feet skater homies out there they fit true to size but my pinky toe rubs just a bit but might need to break in a bit more even though I've been wearing them a few times to walk around in also they come with a regular EVA insole so no G6 as they are not labelled to have one.full EVA midsole with a all rubber cupsole but no cut out on the side as the originals.The originals were polyurethane. The red suede does bleed so watch out on the cream portion of suede.lastly craftsmanship, they do have slight glue stains,slight.

Wish they would have kept the sole smooth on the sudes with stitching and the fatter foam smooth midsole piece between the gum soles on the sides. Got a pair coming. Something tells me they wont be near as beefy as the og. The sal remake sure wasnt.

They run a little big for me. I’m an 11.5 and wore an 11 comfortably. I could even juuuust fit the 10.5 but my toes would be sore at the end of the day for me. Still Need to try the koston on
