maybe u already know but the reason why the choreography this time is more chill is because this after suga's shoulder surgery. they made this one a bit like less intense shoulder/arm movement partly because of that. also the song is supposed to be a more chill dance beat type thing compared to other songs.

Interestingly, their performance director, Son Sungdeuk, and producer, PDogg, participated in a 'reaction video' to this MV (not sure if you've watched it by now), and Mr Son (who probably choreographed this) mentioned that they were only able to do this kind of choreography nowadays because the entire group's dance and performance capabilities had increased greatly. The implication seemed to be that these seemingly simple and big movements could only be carried by performers who were superbly confident in their abilities and had big enough auras/charisma to sell it. Your comments in your analysis segment made me think of their critique.

this kind of 'simple' choreography is actually the one that's quite tricky to dance because it needs your whole body to move to the rhythm and just feelin' the vibe of it~ y'know it everyone, _simple_ doesn't mean e a s y😂 you gotta get the vibe first before looking like a squid dancing to butter lmao

You should see how much hair product they use when filming 😂 from their video shooting clips i think they use both styling cream/gel/pomade and hairspray. And most of them actually have undercuts too

Loooooved it, thank you Emeroy!!! 🤩🤩🤩 There’s already the practice video, some performances AND some other slightly different versions of it out, when you can I would love to see and hear your opinions 🥰 And yes, that’s an easier choreography, especially for dancers, because they wanted Butter to be a fun, light, summer hit. They know that many actually try to learn and/or cover, sothis one is easier for the fans to dance and enjoy with them ☺️ I think they achieved it. I like when you’re simply enjoying everything and also when you analyse in a way that WE can understand as well. That format is really great because we can have both, so thank you 💜 I’ll be (im)patiently waiting for more

They have adapted to pandemic conditions. They cant travel to locations and have to control people they have on set. When they can get their normal stuff going again you will see more of a return to the experimental variety from pre-pandemic times.

For me in BTS on bases of performer (not best dancer) , V is a my favorite ! cuz that guy changes his expressions multiple times in just seconds while dancing and always adds in something different in every performance! Fun Fact : many kpop idols watch his fancams to learn his facial expressions and how more than dancing he enjoys the song and groves to it while performing .
