Emery will sort it out. We have changed from last season and right now these are growing pains. Was always gonna be the case after how many changes we made in summer and first time in CL. I think when it clicks we will be absolute BEASTS again and these are just growing pains. Newcastle had growing pains of players being off form this season and have turned it around, our players will too. Plus let's be fair... when we saw the calendar for this season we already knew this week would be a massive challenge and a likely 0 points, and we already knew we'd have hard away days in the CL. Nothing to panic about yet, there's 1 point separating third and ninth in the table right now...table is a lie!!!

Losing away to spurs and Liverpool is hardly atypical for most teams. Im still holding hope that after January when the fixture list slackens we can start playing with more intensity and go on a run of like 24 points from 10 games or something.

Yes, I agree. Play Nedlejkovic at right back. Konsa in the position has not been playing the winger in the game. This is unheard of.

We were always going to hit a bad patch. It's been a solid 2 years without one For me I personally hate Konsa as RB, we play way better with a proper RB there, just play the young kid who knows how to play there, he's been decent when he plays and has pace for days, it will help Bailey as well Konsa and Torres are much better when they're the CB's Tilemens needs to play a little faster on the ball, not releasing quickly enough. Our passing has gone off the boil this past month

For me the most worrying aspect in regards Bailey was how much he was burned for pace by salah for the first goal. To me that cemented that me need more competition in our winger department

Luke, Unai is playing too safe at times, possession is vital but not to the point that the ball is always in your half of the pitch, it makes the opponents safe knowing they are not under pressure! We are far too slow on counter attacks and not direct enough, Ollie can’t hold up a ball to save his life so that should be Durans position! Bailey is consistently played and consistently getting worse! Time to change it up and give others a chance !

We need more quality ,we lost 2 class players and didnt replace them dougie and diaby would be a loss to any team ,villa are 4top players away from being regular in top for we need 2 top class wingers and a rb and cb if anything we over acheived last season if we can get europa league or conference il be happy 4th to 8th which where we will finish in my opinion

The elephant in the room is we aren't creating enough so we aren't scoring enough, the supporting advanced players in the middle arent assisting with chances either and that puts pressure on the defence, the high line we used to play, we keeo getting caught out on the break this season and if we concede we are chasing and we lose shape and it all gets a little bit desperate. I'm backing Unai to sort it out though, but we definitely need more invention and incision upfront.

Of course he will sort it... if this is an Unai Crisis, I'll take it all day over the successes of nearly every other manager we've had in the last 35 years. However, some senior players have been underperforming for too long. Bailey, McGinn, Watkins, Cash... It might be getting time to ask the question of their future's here.

Totally agree, sitting from the Doug Ellis upper, you can see the whole pitch and I can read every pass movement (of which we lack) and how the ball is going to be played(predominantly back to EMI Martinez)! You don’t win games by the tactic of passing it back to the keeper, it’s meant to go up front as quick as you can and smash it into the opponents net!!

Great to have Earl back with his graphics. Overall a much improved performance but we were naive committing so many players forward for corners which opened the door for Liverpool to counter attack us, which of course they did. Thought Bailey was better.

Emery has work to do. we are not a team taking its chances anymore. Watkins looks like his confidence is hit. silly mistakes are costing us goals. we need to get a quality right back and attacking left sided player in january if possible. some need shipping out. For the first time we saw emery not his cool self even criticism of var was unusual. we are looking like a middle of the pack team, and perhaps that's what we are at present. Emery is a quality manager and will sort it but it may take longer than we would like

Lets have some perspective, the majority of our main rivals barring Chelsea are struggling also and in comparison to the dross we have experienced as fans over the last 10 years a few poor games is absolutely nothing. For me it's not a question about backing Emery. Before this season kicked off I thought we just had to get through it due to the transfer window. I'm still of the same mindset, get through it and we'll see the proper Emery Villa next season when he can target specific areas, because there isn't much that needs looking at, but what does is super important and is hammering us at the moment.

True Most people forget that most of this squad are from previous managers We aren't going to cheat FFP we comply to the rules and slowly rebuild Emery is playing these players to their absolute best but ofc we will upgrade on some of them slowly in this long term project It's why we hired Monchi and damian and the rest of his friends he worked with before and changed most of our staff because we are giving him the longhaul vision to revise the team which we hope to do next season.

If we are going to play Duran and Watkins together, I would put Ollie out wide left or right. Duran is more clinical. Tielemans central ahead of the double pivot as we are missing someone with that killer pass. Rogers is a good ball carrier but doesn't have the finesse yet.
