For those wondering: It isn't entirely clear who killed scouts mother and holds up her severed head, from all of the red pieces on the chess board and only one blue piece, It may reference that multiple people were sent to scout's house. One of them probably being the plague doctor or the red medic. From the hallucination with the medic with the fucked up face, plus the bone saw at the crime scene, got scout to think that Dr. Ludwig killed his mother.

Can we talk about Spy for a second? When Spy says "Who is there to save ME, Jules?" He overlooks Soldier. Soldier not only saved him once, during the confrotation with Heavy, but twice, when he tackled Spy to cover. He overlooks the fact it was his own fault, not Soldiers, that the Car blew up. He overlooks that Soldier just couldn't save him, not that he didn't try. When he flicks the cigeratte at Pyro, he never crossed his mind that he would've gotten burnt. He never realized that almost everything bad that happened to him was his own fault, and you could argue that his murder was technically his own fault too, since his insane depravity lead to Medic murdering him. He's a massive fucking hypocrite.

I don't think anyone would have guessed a horror-thriller would be the first notable, high-quality, TRUE feature-length SFM animation, that was also still grounded it in the TF2 world (albeit with more grittiness/seriousness and the use of popular headcanons). Personally, I'm a sucker for any exploration into a respawn machine existing and explaining why there are just 9 mercenaries, especially when it explores just how potentially terrifying the concept can be. I genuinely enjoyed watching this abstract piece of art. Kudos to all those who worked on it! You guys put out a GREAT piece of artwork!

Did y'all notice Pyro used the fake head trick on Scout, he used it on Scout's Mom: 12:22 But Medic used it too, he used Pyro's head to kill Sniper/The Hunter with an axe, like Pyro did on Scout's Mom: 1:19:59

It was probably Medic using the head trick because Pyro is literally standing across the room. Medic used it against Sniper because his alter ego (maybe the soon to be Plague Doctor?) subconciously made him do it. Not long after that, Medic's right eye glows red, indicating the awakening of his alter ego, affecting him after all these ordeal in the church and ignoring the "Do no harm" oath.

Time flies, but this is probably one of the most twisted and genuinely terrifying pieces of media I have ever seen. Now imagine if valve hired him before the movie was made then made an ending for comics. And then made this movie canonical end for the tf2 and then made trailer for tf3. I know there are a lot of lore mismatches, and there ain't no way valve abandons tf2 while it's still alive and one of the most long living and profitable games, and it's more chance that meteor falls at the same place for 50 times at 2 days time period that Tf3 will ever exist, but just imagine what shock it would cause, of course a lot of people would be mad and a lot of just lost speech just imagine the chaos it would cause.

I only just noticed something about the third act: Corporal fired three shots to put down the Butcher, one shot at the monitor showing Archibald on the phone with Goldman, and one shot to kill Archibald. That's five shots... leaving one bullet left to play Russian Roulette with Soldier and Fritz. Did he plan it that way? Can't say I know, but that's the kind of foresight and attention to detail I can wholeheartedly appreciate, be it from the filmmakers, Corporal, or all of the above.

I just want to say, that the entire sequence with Scout in his home is genuinely unsettling. Scout listening to his own voice on the other end of the phone, his mothers' head peering out from around the corner at him with the whistling. It's just such a well done scene, so good.
