Truthfully, I don't like it. The Fender tbx and mid boost kits with the stock pickups is a better idea (and probably cheaper).

Great demo guy. I have two guitars one with the DG 20 set and another with the Clapton Mid Boost and Gold Sensors. The DG20 is slightly more versatile and the Lace Sensor guitar sounds more like Blackmore, cause it’s a Blackmore artist haha. Anyway, I have tried to replace both those sets because of cork sniffery and the opinions of the internet warriors and a s a result I have a sets of CS 54 and 69 and TS and Fralin Blues and another boutique set and the SSL 1/SSL5 setups and they are back to collecting dust and the DG20 is still the guitar I can play entire gigs with…not a single complaint but many, ‘hey man what pickups are those? They sound great’ YMMV but these are much more versatile and always sound good.

Thank you, there's strangely little videos of them or any emg singlecoil pickup. Awesome. Sound great, proper stratty. Next perhaps try the emg p90.

Thanks yeah I really like these...unfortunately this guitar is not mine but at 250 quid for the loaded pick guard I may put it down for my birthday 😀

I've got them in a 93 strat and I love it. Very versatile tones . And the bridge pickup is actually usable also quiet .

Great vid. I have a variety of different EMGs in my five guitars. I love most of the pickups I’ve tried. My least favorite was the 81 of the ones I’ve tried, but I’d get another just to experiment with in the future. I also quite enjoy the EXG and SPC controls.

Just picked up a near-mint 2005 MexiStrat w/DG20 and Fender locking tuners for $600. Looking forward to wringing it out after I complete the setup. Wonderful tones and smoking riffs. Nicely done. What were you using for amp/settings?

I don't like EMGs, but I am thinking of humbuckers. The neck sounds good on that, though I'm not keen so on the bridge.

Its my favorite single ever. Here in Brasil i have a handmade strat with Emg dg20. But in my ears, this pickups are not sound good for a vintages fuzz like a tone Bender and a fuzz face. Im feel a little " buzz " wen i turn on this kind of fuzz. With a big muff The sound is great . Congratulations for your Review!!!

@@BrentHutchinson Esp on the neck pick up! I think it's more EMG active humbuckers that sound sterile. They sound quite good clean, but put gain on them and they sound like nothing in particular!
