An amazing landscape with unreal blue skies. An amazing place to enjoy solitude and peace. It must have felt so special to have these wonderful falls and stunning location to yourself. I guess that is why you search these places out. Just sitting, watching and absorbing while having a morning coffee? must have been so incredible to experience. Thank you for another excellent share. Have a great New Year.

Wow, what a beautiful hike. Waterfalls are always a bonus, but I really appreciate the primitive "wilderness" aspect of this. I know so little about California besides SoCal area.

Nice. In the mid-90's I did a mini-trek from Cherry Lake, eventually accessing Cherry Creek at Lord Meadow during a rampaging springmelt. Followed the river back down to Cherry Lake. Saw some beyond-exceptional cascades and pools, old growth immense trees, and only a couple people. I may edit the 8mm video I took, someday...

Brilliant weather for November and we had similar here too, crazy for the time of year. Plenty of obstacles on the trail and interesting drop on the Lower Falls, which I thought were the best. Nice to see a bit of snow, although, I would not fancy sleeping on it lol. Happy New Year to you, cheers Alan

You seem to be slowing down a little bit. A couple videos ago you'd have been vaulting right over those logs at the beginning. Glad to see you got some pep in your step as you got moving! Pretty good hike to take on a hope that the creek had a good flow. That was a rocking camp spot, no pun intended. Pretty solid flows on those fall, bet there's some good swimming in a couple of those spots when it's warmer out. Nice snow flop at the end. RHAB and Goat are pretty big fans of doing that at the end of a hike as well... they usually have snow pants on though. 😂😂

Did you go out of Bourland Meadow or Box Springs trailhead? And have you ever made it from West Cherry Creek over to the main fork in Cherry Canyon?

I went from Bourland. I have not gone from west Cherry to Cherry but I’ve been hiked in Cherry via different route.

@@waterfallmadman Thanks. I've hiked Cherry Creek from the south taking Kibbie Ridge before, but the rattlers can be nasty on that trail. Next Spring I'll give Bourland a shot. It's an awesome area. If you get a chance follow the creek east sometime, you won't be disappointed.
