You may know Philippine Leroy Beaulieu as 'Sylvie' from the Netflix series 'Emily in Paris,' but today you will see her in a whole new light. At the age of 15 Philippine worked with Jane Fonda's husband, had her first lead film role, and our favorite- elements like storms, fire, animals, and plants all fuel her inspiration for different characters. Speaking on fashion, skincare, and where she'd like to travel- Philippine also gets deep and sheds light on her inspirations, who she trusts the most, and some words of wisdom. I never understood why people think that Sylwie is a bad character. Actually to me she is the most real of them all and if a person like Emily walked into my office I would behave the same. This is part of the mistake that creators made: they thought that everyone should be delighted by Emily’s presence, but man….. she should be generały hated

Sylvie is a fabulous antagonist- one that makes Emily’s character grow. Definitely not a villain in my opinion- Philippine you steal the show! You have that kind of charisma akin to the late, great Alan Rickman. He often played antagonists so well that you found yourself pulling for him rather than the protagonist. (As a woman in my mid fifties, I so appreciate seeing a powerful, beautiful, chic example of a mature woman on screen. Thank you!)
