Emily West, wherever you are, I hope you are doing very very well...... You are a better singer than most. Anywhere. Period. On a major label doesn't make them better than anyone else. You are fabulous, and I hope you go far. I am Very picky, and I don't like country that much, but you..... are one of the Best Vocalists . . . EVER. And I made my living singing in nightclubs for 6 years, so I kind of know vocals. Don't ever think you are done, honey. Keep making recordings until you've made 1000 tracks. Because you...... I think Country music is so male-dominated. Hard for a woman to break through especially after a "certain age". Most of them disappear by the time they hit 40 -- Suzy Boggess, Faith Hill, Sara Evans, I can go on and on. Where are they ?

I saw season 9 of AGT a while back and I knew from the first time I heard her voice that she was going to the final, the magician that won was good but she deserved the win imo. I like magic but the emotion she gives off in her music is always so moving. Shes definitely one of the greats in my book.

Emily, I am a fan of AGT, American Idol and XFactor and have watched them all since season one. And although there have been many talented singers, I have never come across one whose voice touches my soul more than yours. I am a huge fan of country music and the last big star that came out was Carry Underwoodwhom I love. It is your turn now! You truly are amazing. I have listened to this song over and over again and each time i listen to it, it brings me to tears. I watch you perform and see the emotion in your eyes and feel it in your voice as you sing.....every lyric! I really hope you go far. Country music needs you! You have a huge fan in me!

She has such a beautiful voice and she's very talented. Yet despite the semi-success of this song, she never became big. Then a few years later she had to go to America's Got Talent in order to get a record deal. It's sad that she was dropped in the first place but to have to go on a TV show to get back where she was. And she's still not popular like she should be. I feel so bad for her with what she's had to go through. But I'm proud of her for not giving up!

The only way I knew this song existed was when I watched Celebrity Apprentice back then with Cyndi Lauper as one of the contestants and they featured Emily as one of the "artist makeover" examples. She played this song on the episode. Then her Nashville recording contract was dropped which is why many did not hear this song on the airwaves. I've been hooked since. I wondered where she went and then found out she was on America's Got Talent and was runnerup. Amazing.

Not only was this song not a hit, but it barely has a quarter million views. A kid at my middleschool did a quick little spontaneous ninja move on the football field one Thursday night when he was quarterback and avoided getting sacked. He then made the pass for a TD. That little clip off of someone's phone that night got over 2 million views. But this magnificent song nor its magnificent singer doesn't get the recognition that they deserve. How is this possible? I just don't get it.

When this song came on the music channel, I was working on the computer but the depth and pitch she hits about 15 seconds into the song sent a shiver down my spine and I quickly turned around to see the video. I normally like alternative music, & hard rock/metal but have listened to all music for a long, long time. I'm certainly not a pro but I believe I have an ear for muscians that are going to make a big splash, I think Emily West is going to do just that. Great talent & a moving song.

The record label executive who dropped her should be standing in the unemployment line! PERIOD! So much of the entertainment industry has become more about the All-Mighty-Evil-God of the bottom line profit. America is tired of the executives telling us how to think,feel, look like, act like, and believe in. We want/need more human quality and emotional connection. This woman sings from her soul, an element missing for so long in the entertainment industry. She has brought life back and is the epiphany of what a TRUE ARTIST really is.
