Emily, I need to let you know about my niece and how you have had an impact on her. She starting to watch KZbin beauty videos because I do (she has been staying with us for a bit). She knows who you are since I watch you all the time (and she really respects your honesty and openness). She is 18 going on 19 and does not need nor does she wear much in the way of makeup (brows always and maybe a lip), she will put on a little more when going out. I was at Ulta to pick something up and see if your Wants palette was restocked (got the Needs) from the day before. She was waiting in the car and needed to come in for a minute. She saw me at checkout and looked up at where your display was, stopped, ran to the ladies room, came right back and went straight to the display. It was the sweetest thing I ever saw, she looked around, grabbed your palette held it to her chest like it was the most special thing ever and proudly walked up to the register behind me. I saw the smile spread across her face. I finished checking out and told her I would be in the car. She jumped in the truck and said "I cannot wait to play with this, I was so excited to see it was back in stock". This is a girl that does not get excited about makeup, this was her first ever palette purchase for herself. She got home and opened it up and you would have though she was on cloud 9. She got her phone out and was FaceTiming with a friend and showing off every single color in the palette and just talking about it like it was the best thing ever. My hubby commented on my look when I first used my “needs” palette. That made me feel really good. He’s always sweet, but my makeup usually isn’t something he comments on. I usually have to ask him if it looks ok. He said “your eyes look really pretty today”. That makes a 41 year old mom feel pretty good.

I can't explain why but I have been having more fun with my eye looks using your palettes! I don't really do dark looks and don't do much on the lower rim. Last night for a date I used Joy and Peace in the crease/for my transition. Then I realized that the pink in Passion reminded me of Pizzazz. So on both upper and lower I did Passion on the outer side and faded that to Pizzazz on the inner side. My husband actually said, "Whoa, your eyes look cool!" He also mentioned that because of my glasses he rarely notices my "natural" eye looks. Anyways, I'm loving the palettes so much!

Chelsea, I saw your comment, and I felt the sudden need to respond. That's how much I love "The Wants" palette! Lol I purchased it the day Emily made her announcement, and I absolutely LOVE IT! I've never made such an impulse purchase (particularly to support a KZbinr), but I trust Emily and knew she wouldn't steer me wrong. In short, the included colors are downright lovely, but they are also nicely varied, blendable, and pigmented. I also purchased The Needs palette, and I think it's a winner, too. The blush is a little difficult to show up on me, but I still really like it as an eyeshadow. I just thought I'd share my overall enthusiasm with you because I'm very happy I went ahead and purchased "The Wants" palette. If you ever decide to get it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, too! I have seen so, soooo many tutorials on your new palettes and the reviews have been awesome! Hi Emily! I finally was able to get both pallets! They were sold out in Wichita KS, but I drove 300 miles to Lawrence KS for my grandsons football game and got lucky at the Ulta in Lawrence. I work at Kohl's and used to be over the beauty department. They kinda can't decide what they're doing with the beauty dept, but they have been bringing in new brands so hopefully it's take off again! I used the PUR stick foundation for a prom makeover and I was impressed with the finish and the final look. The client had oily skin and it worked well for her. :D EDIT: The look you created is soo beautiful on you! You inspire me to try green and purples and all kinds of colorful looks!

I do like to shop at Kohls but the nearest one is 60 miles away. I have found some good makeup products recently and I also like Mally products. Just before Christmas, I found a hot brush by Chi for $8 (regularly $89) so that was the greatest beauty find. I will look at the lique lip products - I always go for a creamy lip product or a gloss. I purchased the two mini eye palettes by Pur and keep looking at them, but have not used them yet. I love the look you came up with on the night palette, although it is more bold than I can pull off. Thanks for a great video. Kohls is a great place to find ladies lingerie - always good sales.

The wet brush detangler is BOMB. It works better than any I’ve tried on my 7 year old. She can tangle her hair so easily and I’ve just been so impressed! It does help for several days and it smells good! I don’t like the wet brush on me much, but I have really thick hair. On my daughter’s hair it is perfect! She has one from Justice with a G on it, her name is Grace. The brush and detangler are the best combo on her hair!

Emily- From the Mally palette, perhaps try the "brightener" color as a setting powder under your eyes and on top of areas where you have hyper-pigmentation ( where you had melasma in past). I think it would work really well especially when you are using a different foundation that doesn't provide full coverage.

I especially loved hearing your thoughts about how making videos isn't hard, but creating something and presenting it to the world is a whole new category of vulnerable. I also love hearing the snippets of mom life mixed in. I love soft shadows. Chalky isn't for me. I'm liking the idea of almost having a mini version of The Wants, maybe for quick travel. I don't want anything to happen to my Wants palette. I want it to stay nice and pretty and undented or damaged by not jostling it around during travel.
