This is a great example of how forgiving a person can have a positive impact on your own life. This man is an incredible example.
This is my musical reaction, breakdown and commentary analysis of the song. I intend no copywrite infringement and this is not a replacement for listening to the song. I have paused and also speak over the song. My hope is to bring more interested listeners to download this music from the artist. Your consideration of removing this block is very much appreciated.

I love this song, one of the most underrated from Revival album. To put on context, the name of the song comes after Kim said in an interview in 2007 (a year after their second divorce): "he's a terrible husband but he's a great dad". So he's wondering how those two things can exist in the same time. Also "X Ambassadors" is singing the hook. They're an American pop rock band. I'll be patiently waiting for "Going Through Changes" (2010) where there's a verse about her too, and is kinda the same as this song.

Every time I hear this song I get a lump in my throat. Growth is a beautiful thing. I still secretly wish him and Kim could come full circle and start over. These lyrics hurt my heart for them both. Yep, I’m crying. I appreciate you. I appreciate your growth. Ps I love Christian music. It’s food for my soul. Mercy me, chris Tomlin, third day, Lauren Daigle. It was not a literal "punch". She would do something that hurt him..and he would do something that hurt her! He has known her since she was 14 yrs old...they didn't have any Good examples of a good relationship! They had only seen abusive relationships and didn't know how to deal with his fame! Of course they had the regular problems...but they just didn't have the tools to move away from that type of behavior! Its sad but a lot of marriages end too soon due to this....or they just arent mature enough to work it through! It's heartbreaking to listen to this side of the story....but it happens to a lot of couples.

I can't agree with that why would he reference punching each other & tell his girls your dad is a scum bag? He's referenced their physical fights to many times for it not to be. But I do agree they were kids never taught how to be in healthy relationships

@mawangshallhang
@mawangshallhang 2 жыл бұрын
@@jessicazhuwao5053 He's literally referenced Joe Budden and abuse allegations hitting his girl etc. in songs as disses. So obviously Eminem has not hit his girlfriend / wife Kim as that would be silly to bring up about someone else, when he would be admitting doing it himself in his own songs? Wouldn't it?. He's just saying he feels like a scumbag for staying and joining in arguments and that. That has no correlation to hitting someone. He's refenced putting her in a trunk and in a river with his daughter in songs too, so did he do that? No. Your reasoning is completely faulty and wrong.

It's from this album, the first song on it and it has a very symbolic video too❤️ also your last words, so true! And it's crazy to see people saying he should go back to shady and take pills and what not.. like that was the darkest time in his life and was this close to dying, how can you wish for him to go back to that?!?! The level of maturity he has shown in the Revival album is incredible!

You finally listened to her, I wanted this for months. And a song that I want you to listen to (which also has a huge emotional charge, is "Going Through Changes"). I need you to react to this. I love how you already manage to understand so many things and reverence in respect, love in every word you say and how things connect with your past. PD: Regarding the question, what did you ask yourself about how Eminem is doing with Kim, they get along well, they are just friends and he has the postcard of all the daughters (three) but she has been fighting for a long time about her life, not long ago she tried commit suicide. She's struggling with her drug addiction, she can't get over it. Eminem tries to help her but when someone is like that... it's hard. PD2: The hook of the song is from the group X Ambassadors, a very famous group that had already sung with Em.

Many wishes he still was around his first 2-3 albums. But an artist grows, makes new mistakes, learns new lessonsand change perspectives. So does a real fan. He was crazy back then and I wish I could rewind the clock too at times. But you can't and while I can appreciate his early days almost as much, if honest with myself I'm glad he don't sound like that and do the stuff he did then. While I didn't fully appreciate Revival years ago I today appreciate it more and can't say it's a bad album just a different album. And a different Eminem. People are selfish and inconsiderate when it comes to his rapping and music. Old Eminem, "he should rap like that again" and shit. I view Eminem like I would my own kid. Do anything, if that's what you want and makes you happy then I support it. I love him regardless. Besides I've always been of the opinion that you should always make it for you and people who like what you like will come. You can make song sor and album here and there just for the fans for fun but in the end it's about what you enjoy... And the real ones like it that way too.

The stomach tattoo Em refers to in this song, is a tattoo of a headstone with Kim's name with the inscription "Rot in Pieces". He also mentions the tattoo in his song "Superman" which is definitely worth a reaction as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHu0mXmPf9unrpY

What a fabulous reaction! 👏 I knew you would really love and appreciate this one. Funny that you said this felt like “Arose,” because it is from the same album - Revival. It honestly breaks my heart when people say that this song and/or Revival are “trash.” It’s a mature, introspective album, and many of the songs are deeply vulnerable. It’s beautiful how you can hear his voice cracking in a few places throughout track. Two more deep, thoughtful songs on Revival that you really need to listen to are “Walk on Water” kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKrVaGiEZdOen5I and “In Your Head” kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJjNZ5yYaKuKZsk.

from my view, there was never anything wrong with the content on Revival, but the mixing and beat-selections were awful on that album. And that sucks because i agree that it’s one of his most mature album to date. I like the topics he raps about but the beats/mixing lets me down everytime

@@AteloMusic agreed for me the lyrics and the passion in his voice on this album were amazing but at same time the beats were almost playing to loudly and it took away from what he had to say

@@AteloMusic I can get that. I initially felt the same way. But someone suggested that at least once, I should listen to the album from beginning to end in one sitting. I have no idea exactly why that made a difference to me, but it did make me feel differently about several songs. There are still one or two songs that I just don’t vibe with and usually skip over (even though I can appreciate what he was doing with them)…but as a whole, I really love Revival now.

Then you walk around and hear people saying that Revival is trash. That why I no more blame people Who don't respect the hip hop culture/ Rap music. Because almost 80% of hip hop fan don't even realize what the genre is or what really matter. They want just some bum bum bum ish and a lot of bad words, made up lifestyle, stupid violence, with naked women around.

side note to my comment about their relationship status Em actually released a song just a few weeks before the world found out him and Kim had been talking again and the name of that song is "Stronger than I was" on the marshall Mathers lp2 it would technically be part 3 in your Em and Kim sequence and bad husband would be part 4
