It was Elton John who was playing Russian Roulette with his own career coz he teamed up with Em. But Elton didn’t care he liked Ems music and respected him and Elton was one of them who helped Em get clean. It was Em who called Elton and it was Elton who got Em into rehab. They’ve been close ever since.

The career suicide thing is meant for both him and Elton, because Elton defended Em when he was accused of being homophobic for his lyrics which could be risky for his career and image as a gay man, while it was risky for Em as a hip hop artist to collab with someone like Elton John (a gay man known for ballad songs, not exactly thr usual feature on a hip hop song lol). As others have mentioned, Elton mentioned in an interview that Em gifted him and David (his husband) two diamond cock rings on a velvet cushion for their wedding lol Elton was also a mentor for Em through his journey of sobriety.

Just a fair warning the song "Marshall Mathers" from the MMLP is extremely over the top with full homophobic slurs etc i genuinely really dont think you would get any value out of it whatsoever.
