There was an article saying the woman who sang the song (Alice and the Glass Lake) passed away in 2015 from leukemia. So Em wanted to pay her homage by just giving her the spotlight for that song. Super cool of him tbh.

Only the instrumental is sampled from Regina's song. The vocals are from a separate unreleased song written and performed by Alicia Lemke titled "Our Revival". She submitted it to Eminem in 2012 and it went unused until he was going through tracks for the album that would become Revival and decided to use it.
