Man again with these uploading issues and KZbin censoring every damn word Eminem says. The last 9 videos we did ALL got hit with “limited” and we still went and bleeped everything out. KZbin is out of control and breaking their own guidelines. I know it’s annoying guys and I’m sorry for the video quality. KZbin is completely screwing us right now and you don’t deserve it. I will continue to fight to get these out for you. We love you guys! Cliff & Karen 🎧 ❤️

I'm always a little too late....Damn you!!😆 Was about say something about that. The timing is impeccable and her smile/laugh EXACTLY mimics Em's quick laugh on the track. The fact that she's never heard the song before makes it even crazier. I dont think it could've been executed any better even by someone who's heard the song 1000 times.

Why the artists from Detriot had a very CLEAR "sound" to them is rather simple to explain, but hard to describe. It was the complete mix of "West Coast Rap" beats but with "East Coast Rap" grit ... but done in a way that had a DEEP "Detroit upbringing" vibe of rapping. So, what you had was some AMAZING cadence "bouncing" going on due to the West Coast, making the artists able to pretty much hit ANY possible pocket (fast, slow, middle, switch, double-triple...pretty much anything) but with a "gritty and in your face" presentation that came from East Coast influence. Meaning that while they are dropping the cadences on you, they are doing so with a "bash presentation" that makes you focus on sound/lyrics to see how "hard" they can deliver the bars to you. Meaning that if the cadence was off, the bars sounded weak or as if you were "trying too hard" to do something you shouldn't be doing to begin with. But that "Detroit upbringing" also made them be TRUE to themselves no matter what. They didn't "step out of their lane" and try to present themselves as something they weren't, because they KNEW that they would be called on it by other artists around them. Which is why Em never did the real "gangster rap" style with his lyrics, because he knew people who WERE really gang-banging at the time and they would have confronted him about it both on and off stage. Why he could pull the "got to be tough" type stuff with ease, because he grew up learning HOW to be tough, there was still a line he wouldn't cross because it would be viewed as "fake". And being viewed as "fake" in the Detroit scene at that time would have been a career-ending reputation ... IF NOT LIFE ENDING as well. So, it is the cadence on beats, "brash" presentation but AUTHENTIC sound that makes the Detroit artists stand out as "different" at that time. Because MOST of the industry was simply split into West/East coast "sound", the "Detroit sound" was able to blend them in a way that sounded REAL and not manufactured or some West/East trying to sound like the other for this ONE song, or to mock a sound, or to show that they could do the other sound as well. As an example, did you EVER hear someone like Snoop trying to sound like Biggie at that time? And if you did, did it really sound "true" to the artist in question?

As Cliff rightly mentioned, this iconic album propelled him into the stratosphere of stardom! You can understand why he says what he says on Walk On Water about not being able to reach the heights in comparison to Slim Shady/MMLP.. that character/era was untouchable! Its a compliment to his own work really! Once in a lifetime artist, referring to him as genius doesn't give him enough praise at all!

When I was in high school I used to sell souvenirs at Shea stadium for the Mets. When the team was on a road trip they would call me in to do inventory and I would blast this song while I was doing it.
