People on both sides got shot and some killed. That song is a reflection of how he feels it went too far and how it was "never my intention for anybody to get killed" Eminem did a concert during this time period and beef and they wouldnt let him unless he had a bullet proof vest on because murder inc had a hit out on him. Like Toy Soliders is a 100 percent true reflection on that beef Thats why he says "it was never my intention for somebody to get killed. Why would I want to destroy something i helped build?" Meaning eminem was part of the rap game on a huge level already by then so why would he want people murdered over a rap and label beef. He wouldnt. Murda Inc and Shady Aftermath was a dangerous beef. Thus why eminem hates mumble rap and bragging about guns. Back in the day people got killed.

Eminem was trying so hard to make the families lifestyle better bcoz his childhood was far worse but at the same time he forgot to be a good dad or that's what he's saying.. my fav line is when he says that he opened the bedroom door to comfert his daughter and wife but all he saw was his career.. This song is his last song as "slim shady" which everyone calls "death of slim shady". He stopped his bad habits after this that's why this is a rehab song, and he took a long gap after this, infact he didn't know he will sing again after this.. the plane crash dream and the curtain falling is his future closing in his dream before he realises.. Here is is again: In 2007, Eminem almost died from an overdose of pills. The doctor told him if he would've arrived 2 hours later, he would have died. According to Eminem in Castle, this happened on Christmas Eve of 2007 and his daughter's, Hailie Jade, birthday is on Christmas Day. Hey, if you're starting to get into deep, emotional rap, I cannot recommend Tupac enough. Brenda's Got A Baby, Unconditional Love, Thugz Mansion, Me Against The World, Only God Can Judge Me, So Many Tears. And something you may not know, is Tupac was a massive inspiration for Eminem. If I remember right, he even wrote a letter to Tupac's mom, Afeni Shakur, after Tupac died. Long before Em blew up. Nah, she doesnt know what she is saying. Eminem is talking about his emotions, and how he is living. He made When Im Gone for the way his daughter is missing old Eminem, since Eminem is now cranky and rude. This song quotes such as, "These fuckin walls must be talkin cuz man i can hear em" is referring to his daughter giving him a necklace, a locket. Cleanin out my closet, quotes like, "Nathan will know that your phoney. And you see Hailie is growing, shes beautiful. but she wont even be at your funueral. but what hurts me the most is that you wont admit you was wrong, ye- keep tellin yourself that you was a mom!" is a reference to his daughter not liking her mom, and that when his mom dies, Hailie wouldnt be at funeral. Not even him! this is where he realized that what he did was wrong. and that in the future he would take out all those nasty songs. except for Beautiful and Not Afraid. He even cried during his performance. and his mother found out that she was called a Selfish Bitch and that eminem would love for her to burn in hell for "what she did" but his mother proved that all that he said was untrue, and that he was lied to.
