You should have just got a 3/4 or 7/8 i-bolt to put in the top of the output shaft and lifted it straight up. Ive been working on towers for many years and never seen one lifted like that. also a bigger t-bar puller would have popped that fan and hub right off. just take out 2 bolts in the hub and run your all thread through them, put a block on the output shaft that is taller than the hub and use a bottle jack to pop the hub. you are essentially making a portable press if you do it that way. I do admire your never give up attitude.

That apparatus looks heavy and very awkward. Not to mention you gotta baby it as to not damage the shaft. Good vid man.

That sucka was heavy, however I was able to lift it for short periods of time. Thanks for watching man.

Nice job Brother!! We did a "shaft/bearings" job on a 700 ton belt driven BAC tower last year. That shit is heavy once you get it up in the air!
@EminHVAC9 жыл бұрын
Thanks brother! I've done a few BAC bearing jobs, lots of fun lol. its definitely a heavy day, better eat your cheerios.

Congrats! Never seen rigging more sketchy! Much easier way to get those Marley props off than using jacks from your van.

Em, tell your cheap boss to get you the electric hoist. Those things are great, strong enough to raise and lower 800 lb boiler sections.
@EminHVAC9 жыл бұрын
hahaha we actually have a few electrical ones, the delivery dude just brought me the wrong one. I had to hoist that thing down and just did it the harder way. appreciate you watching Robert.

It's quite a shame you have to go through all that copyright inconvenience. Gents post videos for educational purposes and give of their knowledge and expertise only to have selfish individuals try to profit off of it. Not fair. Not fair one bit! I hope this doesn't dissuade you from making more videos as I throughly ejoy them
