Great Video Chris. Qatar and Emirates are both class acts. In mt view, Qatar are better for food and service, but Emirates has a great wine list and the bar. On a 17 hr flight, being able to sit in the Emirates bar is something else! So lucky to fly with either.

Thank you, Chris,for such important information regarding Emirates Skywards program. I will be very careful to consider about it next time since I have already have miles on Skywards. I also would like to thank you for the suggestion regarding Cathay Asia miles. I take your advice to spend miles on short haul with more comfortable Business class instead of long haul with economy class. For flying to NZ, I will take China airline which I haven't flown with for 10 years. That is unbelievable, right！I didn't take my country's airline for long time, even EVA😢. The reason is complicated. 😅 Thank you so much again.

The reason why the B777 is no longer competitive with the other ME3 carriers is because Boeing has seriously let Emerites down with delays on the B777-9. They were expecting this plane years ago (Emerites has the most orders for it) and year by year Boeing keeps promising certification, which now looks to be 2026 (!).

They are refurbishing most of the existing 77Ws to bring it up to the 388’s standard at least, as a stop gap. Not sure if they’re getting Boeing to pay for it.

@@JJ-vy2rh No one said they do. Emerites didn't undergo a refurbishment because Boeing was always imminently going to produce the 777-9, so what was the point?

Boeing has let down more or less all major Airlines....
