You literally addressed scars for couple of seconds even though they are completely different from tattoos, in my opinion at least .and it would've been great if you gave your opinion based on your experience for example tell us about a colleague that had a scar but was still completely fine (or not) I'm just saying that as a feedback I obviously appreciate the video but all these information are actually very easily accessible on the Emirates webside .it is a crew point of view based one his/her experience that is very valuable.

I saw an EK flight attendant with a huge chickenpox scar between her eyebrows and even though she had her work makeup, it was really visible. someone's saying they don't accept even a cat scratch, and then I see a girl with a huge scar on her face. I'm confused af.

I was speechless when they gave us the grooming guidelines book. By memory roughly 60-80 pages and covers almost everything you can imagine and much more. Mens guidelines aren't too difficult, the trickiest part is really the hairstyle you choose. For female crew it's unbelievable. I think it was a maximum of six pins in your hair? And yes I have seen them be counted.

Omg. And for what? passengers just want to be treated respectfully and with love, they literally don't give a fuck if you have 7 pins or a scar. I t's so stupid i really don't get it.... I think it's more important to be CLEAN, they should see if they brush their teeth and have a shower everyday...not if they have a tatto on their calves.

Just went to an assessment day today in Auckland New Zealand. I have a tattoo on my ankle and before we started even the recruiter said if you have tattoos please come and see me which I did. I showed her the tattoo and said sorry can't progress you further. And many other had the same issue too even tho the tattoo won't be visible in uniform

I have a scar along my jaw from an accident, any company that cares about that isn’t worth working for in my opinion. I’ve worked for Disney, Carnival cruises entertainment and many upmarket bars that never cared about my scar. Unless you are an impersonator or actor it shouldn’t be an issue.

Last December in 2023 i attended assessment day with emirates in dubai. Out of 60 6 people made it to the final interview. One of the girl among 6 of us had a big scar on her full jawline. She declared it and recruiter didn’t even ask her to mention it because scar was of skin color. My recruiter mentioned this in the very beginning that it’s okay we all get scars. If scar is of skin color, its fine but tattoos are not allowed in visible areas.

I have tattoos on my upper body which are faintly visible through my BA uniform shirts and that was fine. You could occasionally see them if the light was right. This was not a problem at BA. No problems with colleagues over this either.

thanks a lot for this video. I had an interview last week, i have a tattoo on the intern of my bicep and it shows a little while i wear a t-shirt. i said that to the interviewer and she sent me home. As long as you can conceal the scar under your Emirates clothes, you're fine! They won't undress you! Check the areas that will be uncovered while in uniform. Those are the areas where you must not have anything at all

i would suggest if u have tattoos do not get it laser remove just to join a cabin crew. its not worth it. laser removal causes scars + it wouldn't rid u of the tattoo completely it will leave residues
