I've flown 45 airlines, to 100 different airports worldwide and been to 110 countries... I was a gold Emirates for 5 years and they are easily the best airline in the world. Back in Australia now I have to suffer with Qantas who are terrible, but not as bad as the airlines in the USA or Sth America...

3:50 Emirates A380 has 3 lavatories in FIrst Class, not 2. There are 2 showers/lav in the front and normal lavatory in the galley behind seat 4K. So, the pax:lav ratio is more like 4.8:1 not 7:1. All business class lavs are in the back near the bar.

Dan you need to take a trip to the Champagne region and tour some of the houses to learn about Champagne. It's really a big part of the first class experience. I think you'll be blown away by the champagne experience. it's just an hour away from Paris by train.

Your lavatory:pax ratio isn't quite right. Whilst they always encourage you to use the front shower toilets, the lavatories behind the first class cabin in the galley are reserved for first class too

I flew Emirate's First from DXB to VIE on an A380. The seats in your video seem smaller than the one I had for the trip. Paid with points too. Worth it. Showering at 38k feet is fun. Still, I get to compare early next year when I take the DXB to LHR route in 1st early next year (again, thanks to points)

Emirates is amazing and Dan you are spot on, the food is out of this world. The new 777 experience is the absolutely the best stateroom, with the same food service, but unfortunately they don't have showers. I hope Emirates redoes the 380s so it would then be, hands-down, the best.

I've been lucky enough to do Dubai to Auckland twice in emirates 1st class this year. It's an excellent experience. However, dubai to London is way too short and to not make the most of all those wines and drinks, borders on irresponsible! In fact, you should not be allowed to fly first class unless you are hammered by the end of the flight! 😄

IMO without the Spa on the A380 EK First is just not worth it. I don't fly their First on their other aircraft types. I know I am not the only person thinking this as well so it probably does concern EK about what will happen when the A380 is retired.

Flew first last week... watched the crew walk around and ask everyone what time they wanted a shower and skipped me over completely. Service while friendly was not what I'm used to... had to ask for anything and everything. Not the usual experience on EK first.
