Hey Jeb - you don’t need an adapter for the headphones. Airlines use those types of plugs so people don’t take them with them off the plane as they wold have no use elsewhere. If you plug in a regular aux cord into one of the 2 larger holes it will still work. Just a tip! Thanks for posting such great content!

@Erich Weiler The Residence, is Etihad not Emirates. The L-shaped room with a long couch bed you refer to is Etihad's first class on the A380. The Residence has a separate bedroom, separate living room and yes, The Residence has its own private shower/bathroom. It is separate from the shower that First Class passengers can use. :)

But I notice on a lot of your business/first class flights you show the menu and then just say the food is great and cooked to perfection. As the viewer I want to vicariously live through you and an explanation of why it tastes so good ie. the seasoning, sauce, the way it was cooked, would be amazing. I think we all expect the food to be fantastic on these long haul elite services to be good. WHY you think they are good and to get your insight would be amazing. Hi Jeb, this was a most enjoyable time spent with you as you explored the brilliant Emirates 1st class trip. It took me back 2 years when I was literally the last passenger to board the flight from Dubai to Manchester. I had a particularly cantankerous traveling companion who was playing, "No Speaks". On the way from Johannesburg to Dubai, there was an indulged little boy squealing and shouting his head off, while both his mother and nanny looked on and smiled. Economy class was subjected to this racket for hours, on and off. As we were arriving in Dubai, I THOUGHT a prayer, and humphed, "You know what, Lord? ( Drumming of fingers) I don't think there are any " little princes" up in Business Class." I then had to endure a couple more hours of the silent treatment during the lay-over, before our flight to Manchester boarded. When I eventually gave the attendant my passport, she looked at me and smiled sublimely. "Judith, you have been upgraded to Business Class!" Oh my word! The bliss of that totally unexpected blessing. Like you, I snuggled into my gorgeously comfortable flat bed, and slept deeply for 5 hours. The cabin staff were most attentive. The food and service were excellent. The whole experience was a gift to me that I shall remember for the rest of my days. I love Emirates and always fly with them. I am a big fan of your flight experiences. Thank you. Kindest regards Judith

Emirates, Etihad & Qatar three major players changing the whole flying concept and raising the benchmark constantly. Their global coverage is phenomenal and European and American operators can only play catch-up. There was a time when European and American operators ruled the world but that was all in the last millennium. Global trade demanded new travel challenges and Middle East based operators altered their strategies carefully where western operators were still stuck in aristocratic syndrome and even now losing the battle to low cost operators. These Middle East based operators are giving us better options for our money, imagine if we were still stuck within the choice of old Lufthansa/Air France/British Airways/American Airlines and their traditional first class and had to pay the same £6K/£7K for a first class trip. It will be interesting to see where this industry go in next ten years time in terms of comfort and customer service. Thank you.

right on point! i couldn't have said it any better myself. only to think i have been on the 777 a good seven times to use my usual crammed economy class! are you telling that suite is on a plane like seriously????? will they allow me to at least just get in there and have a view of it???

Thanks for this detailed flight review. Did EK's 77W first class section have showers? I know their A380s do.

what is that on the wall in front of you? looks like they pulled some textured plastic off the wall? top, center @ 3:50 It doesn't look decorative because it's "torn" away so randomly.

Did I miss you telling us how much this decadence costs? I would really love to know.

Love your style - keep the videos coming. Compared to some other vloggers, I love seeing your true honest enthusiasm and frankness. Re. this new suite, not sure how I'd feel in the middle "box" - I reckon that subconsciously I'd always be aware that I was "locked" in the middle of the First compartment. Hope they add more new 777 ER's. I think they are going to start running from Dubai to London Stansted later this month - but its only circumstantial evidence as yet.

I work for an International airline. Even with my discounts I couldn't afford or better yet, would want to spend my money this way. I'm glad you could or wanted to. I'm also glad you decided to take us a long. The suite is very beautiful.

Reminds me of a roomette in a sleeping car, but with more screens :-) On a train though, you have more motivation to move around, walk to bar car, observation lounge, dining car. being limited to your romette for whole flight smeems less interesting no matter how great it is. (though for a 10 hour flight that leaves about 22:00 and arrives early morning, you walk into room, goto sleep, wake up 8 hours letre, wash up/get dressed and get off plane. )
