The other day I got the very oldest of seats on the B777, the ones registered A6-EB.. Not even a touch screen! I really hope they retrofit these planes as the B777-300ER’s are far from old. Time will tell! nice video buddy!

I feel so sorry for you that you ended up on the A6-EB.. Series. Those airplanes are all around 15-16 years old and they have never been refurbished. I was also on one in January 2020 and it was by far the worst Business Class seat you can get on Emirates. The seat in this review is very similar but with some modernization like the newer tablet, better screen quality, touchscreen etc. Anyway, thanks for watching! 😃

Damnit, I wish I found your video earlier. I'm flying on Thursday and sitting on 11A... All the other window seats are taken now, damn. How far away is the window from the seat?

It’s quite far away. Like enough that you can’t see outside when sitting normally. You’ll have to really bend forward to be able to see. It’s unfortunate that there are no other window seats available :(

As a follow-up....we flew business class on the 777-300ER from Boston to Dubai (EK238) and onward from Dubai to Bengaluru (EK568) on July 2. Our experience was painful and horrible! The flight originating from Boston was delayed because some person checked in his/her luggage, but failed to show up for the flight. I'm not sure how that happens, but just about when everyone had boarded and settled in, the pilot made an announcement that he anticipated a 10-15-minute delay to identify and deplane that person's checked-in luggage. The initial 10-15-minute anticipated delay turned out to be a 2.5-hour delay as the ground crew had trouble "locating" that luggage. Needless to say, we landed in Dubai late and missed our onward connection to Bengaluru. Upon landing, no apology or anything to that effect was offered by the pilot or crew. Fortunately, one kind flight attendant tried to connect with the ground crew in Dubai only to inform us that we would be late for the connection and that Emirates had rebooked us. Once in Dubai, Emirates ground crew handed us new boarding passes to a flight (EK564) that was 6 hours later to Bengaluru (instead of the original 2-hour layover). And the worst part....we were assigned 3 different seats on 3 separate rows (6, 7, and 11), and all were middle seats in the 2-3-2 layout. The crew did not offer my son any meal or beverage throughout the flight, and when I checked about my meal selection, which I made well in advance being a vegetarian, the attendant said that I would be put on hold, since others with vegetarian selections would be given priority. When I explained the situation to the attendant, I was given the look and attitude as if I were to blame for the delay to begin with. On a side note, the 2-3-2 setup in business class is pathetic and a disgrace in comparison to the A380, or for that matter, any typical business class with a 1-2-1 configuration. The middle seat in the 2-3-2 layout felt like we were boxed in and made us feel terribly claustrophobic (needless to say that we were at the mercy of folks in the aisle seats to get to the bathrooms). Another huge disadvantage regardless of where you sit in the 2-3-2 layout is the lack of storage space. To us, Emirates has laid a lot of emphasis on aesthetics (in-flight lighting, food, beverages [e.g., Moët & Chandon]) as perks without focusing on what matters most. Unless, our notion of luxury is different! After this experience, we will never be flying Emirates!

It was very unfortunate to hear about this terrible experience. The Emirates staff at Dubai Airport are the worst. And the crew are also new and have a lot of attitude as you said. My flight had a good set of crew but it is a hit or miss. The middle seats are absolutely terrible. I'm so sorry. I hope you and your family have much better flights in the future

Yes, you can control the screen using both the Tablet and the small controller.

Great video! Although all 777-300ERs have the 2-3-2 configuration in business class, some of the 777-300ERs have better features (footrest, etc?). I believe the US-Dubai routes on 700-300ERs have better looking business class cabins than those used on shorter routes. The one shown in your video is also used in the Dubai-Bengaluru segment (~ a 4-hour flight).

Yeah the ones coming from Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, DC etc have newer products. They look more modern and feel more classy. But both products are the same when it comes to features (apart from the minibar and the fully flat reclining seat). Note: the padding in the newer seats makes the bed rather uncomfortable. That's why I prefer this older seat over the newer ones. Thanks for watching 😊

Emirates a380 business is very nicer and it’s more private because there is only one seat on the side and not 3 in the middle. Great video though 👍

True. But it still gets the job done for short flights and it is a better product in this route than the one Qatar Airways offers. However, for longer routes to Japan, Australia, USA etc this product is definitely not acceptable
