I flew this product from Dubai to Glasgow this summer. There were no mattress pads despite it being a longer flight. The crew never introduced themselves. I have had warmer experiences on Iberia. The entertainment system failed at my seat and the crew acted aggrieved when I asked them to reset it. Three and a half hours later they finally did. I was relieved to fly home to the US on BA (which also had significantly better food). Glad you had a better experience!

i remember 5 years ago when i was flying economy on the emirates a380 with my family. My mom was talking to a flight attendant and the flight attendant offered a tour of the entire airplane, it was amazing. What was even more amazing, was that after the airplane landed, we got to go to the cockpit. I even have pictures of it.

I travelled in their one of their older triple 777 earlier this month and in my opinion as a solo traveller i wrongly selected my seat which resulted in total chaos.. Thanks Dan! I flew this product recently, Dublin to Dubai. Generally I was impressed and happy with the experience, but I agree it is very dated. I’m a larger guy so I actually found the seat a little cramp and that the tablet would occasionally poke into my side, especially while dining. The flight attendants were brilliant and made the difference. I have only flown business class on one other occasion with Etihad and couldn’t help comparing the two. Etihad was better overall. My “trick” for getting it cheaper was to book an economy ticket and wait for Emirates to send me an email offering an upgrade 2 days before check in. This doesn’t work if flight is fully booked though. Let’s have a look at Etihad next?

Until recently Emirates only had the 777-300 from Auckland, NZ to Dubai ( they have now re-instated the A380 on the route). The equipment was the older 777 which for 17 hrs wasn't exactly pleasant. I'm back to Europe in a few weeks and the equipment for the DBX-FRA leg is also a 777. Not wanting to experience this again I changed my connecting flight from a morning departing to evening so I could stay on an A380. The best bit is that due to the now long connection (10hrs) Emirates provide complimentary hotel, ground transportation & meal at not extra cost via their Dubai Connect booking system!

I flew economy from Tokyo→Dubai, Dubai→London Stansted and back again over the Christmas/New Year period. The Tokyo→Dubai route was on an A380. The seat were comfortable, the windows looked lovely, too. Unfortunately the Dubai→London Stansted →Dubai route was on a 777. If I had been a little more flush there was some good deals on business class. However the most forward economy was smaller and less dense. Can't wait to try Business - even on the 777.

How does food that you get at the bar on the A380 work on the 777 business class? Do you have the same selection of food and drinks that are avaiable at the bar and are they on demand?

My wife and I flew the Emirates 777 business class several years ago. This was the last time we flew with Emirates. Qatar and Singapore both provide 1-2-1 configuration in business class. We now fly either of those on our couple of annual trips.

I travel Saigon to either Birmingham or London UK return, the sector SGN to Dubai is on a B777 the second legs on a A380. Now if both legs had been B777 I would be looking for a different airline, but I just love the 380 and so suffer the 777 parts.

Thank you for the video. How hard or easy is it to cross over the other person when you go to the restroom. I am taking 777 business class in May overnight from Dubai to Malaysia. I don't know if I should choose window or aisle. I drink a lot of water so I will have to leave the seat often during the flight.

i flew Emirates almost monthly from SEA to Dubai for work. The worst experience I ever had in business class. Arrived at my seat to find that someone had throw up and it was everywhere, on the back of the seat, on the side wall. You name it. I called the flight attendant for help and she brought be a wash cloth, lol you know the ones from the BC restroom and I had to clean it myself. I asked to be reseated and the response was, BC is all full. When I arrived is Seattle I wrote the company and shared my disappointment with the customer service group in a letter, and the response I received was they could not confirm that the seat and vomit on it. Never again will I fly this airlines

10:12 - Hey, I'm glad there are Swedish movies on Emirates. I can watch the Dragon Tattoo series, which I LOVE (I've read all the books too!). I'm also glad Emirates wouldn't skimp on privacy and tried hard to provide some with the divider and huge seat backs. I would still try their business class at least once for myself. Just wish you had been able to get the updated version. I believe the review would have been slightly different. Tacksa mycket for the review!

I flew this product from The Maldives to Dubai in August, yes the set was lacking in lots of things you’d expect from business class nowadays but the service was still unmatched and the food/amenity kit was top notch

Flying this in September, what's the safest seat to select for single traveler right now? I can't select the window bulk head because it's reserved for babies so I'm afraid of being bulk head without window seat. There's a center bulkhead seat 3rd row but it's by the toilets? Don’t care what others think about this because I fly in economy all the time and any business class product is gonna feel like I’m stepping into another world. 😂 I also sometimes feel like those who slam this product have been spoiled with all the QSuites and Polaris’ of this world. I understand your thoughts. But paying for BC with my own money I would feel cheated getting a seat that does not go 180 flat. These kinds of videos make sure you know what to look for and what you can expect to get for your money. Its a huge improvement in consumer choice compared to previously and it has pressured a lot of airlines to make their products match their ticket price.

Thanks for your great reviews, always perceptive and enjoyable. I've been flying with Emirates for around 14 years, but unlike you I'm a one-route man - Just between Manchester UK and Tokyo. Mostly in Economy, but have been bumped up to Business surprisingly often and have also used miles to upgrade or bought very heavily discounted Business tickets. (Even managed to fly First on three or four occasions when discounts were deeper and Emirates' Skywards mileage programme very much more generous - those were the days!) Emirates have two Tokyo flights daily, 777 to Haneda and A380 to Narita. The free chauffeur service is only offered at Haneda, but that's no deal breaker as I live right by a station on one of the excellent rail links to Narita, and Japan has brilliant baggage home delivery services. So I have the choice of 777 or A380 We're all different, but for me the A380 Business cabin is very, very much more pleasant than the 2-3-2 cabin in the 777. If you pick the right seat, the A380 offers a high degree of privacy for either solo travellers or couples flying together. I've always found the seats comfortable, especially with the provided mattress, but it has to be said that they are not the widest, and might not suit a very heavily built person. Mind you, the 777 seats are not of the widest, either. Then there's the aft lounge which tends to be very full and lively between Manchester and Dubai, but is usually very much more of a calm oasis of quiet and a very comfortable place to relax on the Tokyo leg. It is very much a matter of personal preference, but I prefer the A380 in Economy, too. The big plane has a feeling of spaciousness that appeals to me - but others may very well prefer a cosier cabin. Thanks again for your great reviews.

I flew on the 777-300ER business class from Brisbane - Singapore - Dubai with a 2 hour connection to Glasgow in 2019. Although it was no doubt more comfortable than economy class, it didn't feel particularly "premium". Even though our flight left Brisbane at 2:30 am, we weren't offered a mattress topper at all. By the end of the flight to Glasgow, we'd been travelling for around 27 hours and I was just ready to get out of the aircraft. I've travelled on BA's older business class product on their 777-300ER, and as seats go, I'd prefer the BA product any day.

I flew this last July. This was my first long haul business. Didn't leave a good first impression. The food was hit or miss. There was a choice of the beef and the chicken and I got the chicken. The chicken sucked, but I heard the beef dish was good. That said, we got it for a promo so it's alright and it was a night flight so really just happy for the lie-flat. And I guess expectations for other business class can only go up from here.

I've flown Emirates from Perth (Western Australia) to London or Manchester about six times, fortunately all in business class, over the last four/five years. 777s originally then A380 for the last couple of flights. I've been fortunate enough on the 777s to have no passengers alongside me, other than my wife either on the window side or the center seats. On the 777s, we could not fault the crew's attention to service. Top class all the way. Missed a couple of bed duvets over the trips but no complaints. The A380s are a different case altogether. The crews are just as good. Can't think of any better, but the aircraft itself is another thing. The layout on the upper deck is so welcoming and spacious compared to the 777s. I have not had one trip with Emirates (six times and double that for return flights) where i have been disappointed. I'm hoping to do the UK trip again in 2023 and this will be my preferred airline.

Oh, only knew the oskar & dan channel, didn't know there was an individual one as well :D I havn't been flying for like 15 years and am now vegan as well. In videos you are usually shown the menus like at 11:43. But i didn't see the options you ate on the menu and in general almost never see vegan options in flight videos. So i'm interested; is it normal that they'll have some non-listed items if you ask or was that just not the full menu in the video? 🤔

For me I was on the newer emirates 777 the seats were better but I have found that the IFE has bugs and glitches and one of the flight camera went pink overall a nice flight but nothing can beat that A380

Hmm....I'd have to say I've enjoyed my Lufty business class experiences only because they've been so empty. The 2-2-2 becomes 1-1-1 for most of us in the business cabin. Heck, if BA still had their 744s I'd take top floor Club Whirld over this. Sad! Emirates' first product is solid! I'd be curious if you felt much difference between the new and old 777 Emirates business hard product. One day we'll get that review?

Another outstanding video from a fascinating flight experience. The views of Tunis and the Mediterranean, alone, make this epic. Love the Med food and large windows, but a couple of points. Not much focus on the service. How does does it compare to Qatar et al? And…the seat is a killer. I flew global Biz in the days when even First Class wasn’t 180’. Before I fly a slanted Biz, again, I’ll just pocket the cash or miles and join humanity in Economy or Eco+. Slant seats keep me up all night with the feeling I’m getting flushed out the window. Not comforting at 10,000 meters.

I just came back from Dubai on 12/31/22. My experience with them was amazing. I’d never been to Dubai, flown on Emirates, or experienced an international business class product. When the option was given to me to upgrade from economy to business (for $1800), I took them up on the offer. My flight was a 14.5hr non-stop from Miami to Dubai. For someone who’s never been in an international business class seat, it’s a serious upgrade and I loved it…even if there may be better seat layouts available. The FAs were so attentive to me throughout the flight, even calling me to the galley for a photo op and to share some tips for my visit to Dubai. I’m not one who generally sleeps on planes, but with a nice little mattress topper and quilt and a full lie flat seat on the 777, I slept for almost 9hrs straight. I was in 11A which also meant I had 3 window seats. On my return flight. I had the option to upgrade again and I tried to but there was a glitch in the Emirates system which prevented the upgrade…so economy it was, again on a 777…for 16.5hrs While the in-flight service was fantastic, there’s no way to truly get comfortable and / or sleep on a 16.5hr flight in economy. Overall I really enjoyed my flights and I know everyone has different experiences. I found the check in process in Miami was an absolute mess because of the small seating area at the gate. In Dubai, everything was smooth. Customs and check in were a breeze. I can’t wait to fly Emirates again. Perhaps one day in a first class suite or even in their revamped premium economy.

I'm flying this class for the first time next week. I've never flown buisness on any plane and for me its also my first time with Emirates. I'm sure this will be amazing for me but I have seen the a380 seats that look King 😂..... But if for that ide have to make a 2+hour journey to get to a different airport when my local one is 30mins

I remember going on my first big overseas trip on one of these in 2011 as a teen. It was amazing with the mood lighting and the PTV’s in economy and the stars in the ceiling. Even now I think the economy it’s a damn good product, and overall this plane is still nice

Admittedly as you point out it's not so bad if you're travelling with someone but sorry, as a mostly solo traveller any airline cabin still not giving direct aisle access to all long haul business class seats is offering an inadequate business class offering and the existence of middle seats because of the 2-3-2 makes it even worse. I agree with you that high dividers are a big plus but the existence of that middle seat affects the whole cabin. At least when Qatar did a plane swap on me recently, away from QSuites to a 2-2-2 configuration, I could select a seat in the middle 2 of the 2-2-2 and have direct aisle access plus no one climbing over me. On a 2-3-2 configuration there is no seat in the cabin on a full plane where you can exclude the possibility of someone climbing over you, or even worse having your seat assignment changed at the last minute to one of those dreaded middle seats. I would not fly business class in an Emirates 2-3-2 cabin. Do emirates have any announced plans to upgrade the business class cabins on its 777s? If it did then I would hope that it would be to a 1-2-1 configuration.

Wow. Such a brilliant review. Your review of the Emirates 777-300ER Business class was more in detail and looks at the different aspects of the inflight experience and service offered and not just judging the whole Business class product just by the 2-3-2 seat configuration. Also, your views were more pretty much fair compared to Jos… oopps. Not saying it. Dont get me wrong, love his reviews however it was a very short hop flight which did not have the same meal service compared to yours. Otherwise, i think EK’s business class still one of the worlds best

I do 6 long haul flights per year. Having to travel from Cape Town to the west coast of the US, Europe and Asia. This product from Emirates is the reason I now only travel with Qatar Airways

i have always ensured while flying to be there to be there 3 hours before depature to ensure that there is no problems checking in and passing through customs. sometime i was glad because checking was quick but customs and security was a nightmare leaving not real time in the louge before having to go to gate and board
