Character wise for Shirou, to save Sakura, is to kill himself as we know him in the other two routes. Besides the fact that it is a disgusting move to let her live given the certain fact that she will go on to kill hundreds of innocent people. Any man would have her die by her injuries in that church. Only a simp would sacrifice so many innocent lives for his one night stand with someone. Therefore HF Shirou is Simprou

This technique is a vastly inferior copy of it, essentially. But like 9L:Bladeworks is E ranked compared to 9L: StHH which is A ranked. That is the difference in skill and power.

His Noble Phantasm is still considered has Nine Live, but he can't use it like it's supposed to be since he can't wield a bow in his mindless state. It’s only because of Heracles' ridiculous strength that such a thing can be considered a weapon at all.

Oh yeah, let's love the girl who you didn't give a damn until highschool vs. a sister you rescued, learned so much about, and spend more time compare to Sakura because of her being finally a heroine in her route. Not to mention Shirou still got the privileges of his harem and the tired old man on his side. Miyuverse Shirou played Hard Mode with Fate Zero Kiritsugu as mentor and get his soul getting overwrite overtime since he summon Archer EMIYA directly to his body. Not to mention, I find it hard to forgive Sakura in HF for the crime that she committed compare to Miyuverse Sakura when she actively betrayed the Ainsworth to help Shirou instead. And Lancelot Sakura did not count because she's being manipulate due to displacement magic and not herself.

Shirou gets all of emiya's power of a bogus card that didn't work on sakura has a reality marble despite not having the same fucked mental state has unlimited mana and can trace divine construct and the only side effect is slight burning. Miyu is a ball of bland goodness not a flawed and morally wrong broken person that was sakura. Sakura had been helping shirou for two years which is a big deal to him because of his zero self worth. Heavens feel shirou was playing hard mode archers arm sparked genuine fear in a guy who jumped infront of herc with little hesitation and after one use becomes a ticking time bomb. Miyuverse gets a slight tan and the possible ambiguous threat of death after repeted use. Miyuverse giving up his ideal means jack all since he was orphaned by a natural disaster and raised by a bitter man while hf saw hell walked through a mountain of burning corpses and his ideal came from a kind hearted old man. The ainzworth and jullian are so generic bad guys without any of the depth zouken and kirei had. The final battle against angelica is a joke compared to the emotional climax of heavens feel. Illya was a far better written little sister with real flaws, kirei a far better antagonist,shirou had consequences for borrowed power, and overall oath under snow is a retread fan fiction that was done better in staynight that tried combining hf and ubw shirou giving him all the powers and failed at delivering any meaningful conflict or theme that wasn't better done in heavens feel. Its a poor mans heavens feel with mediocore writing and without the nuance and drama that made the original good. Also being more powerful doesn't equal good character and shirou is after his own peace of mind and hapinnes always has been he selfishly pursues selflessness because it makes him happy sakura gave him tangable happiness but shirou doesn't care about human life like kiritsugu did and its not like he didnt try to kill her either it makes sense he choose sakura

The risk for doing that was to have his existence overwrite by Archer Emiya the more he traces. 2) Miyu's connection to Shirou built more than 5 years vs. Sakura who just started in Highschool. Also, the girl did nothing wrong, why should she be penalized for that compare to a cluster FUCK that was HF Sakura murdering innocent people who did do anything wrong to her? Just because she's more complex and drama but executed poorly does not mean she's a better character. Miyu spend more time, having a conflict with her own being treating like SHIT by Kiritsugu and the Ainsworth. Only Shirou treats Miyu the right way hence he got her Affection of the Grail EX from her. She helps indirectly despite the liar reveal and shit. 3) HF hard mode was like having a bunch of people backing him up like Rin, Kirei, Illya, even Saber in the beginning, and a lot of emotional support from Taiga as well. The world in Miyuverse was way harsher, no Mana, dying and has to conduct a Walmart brand Holy grail war that killed more than the mountain corpse that was in HF. Shirou for more than 5 years has to battle back and forth from Kiritsugu idea vs. his own on a regular basis. HF ideal struggle just came in because the story demanded it because of Sakura during a shot amount of time. Saying Miyuverse Shirou was generic is nothing but pure ignorant because you just watch a movie. LOL. 4) There are more depth to Jullian due to him being forced into a family curse but I guess you didn't read it through and you just gonna google to argue with me instead of reading it and fake it like your bias. HF shirou has more complex but some of them being very dragging on just for the sake of it.

@@EliteFreeman I haven't watch the 3rd movie yet, but considering the fact they cut an entire scene from the 2nd movie, it was pretty obvious that Illya is not a priority to them. The scene that I'm referring to is shirou and illya going shopping. The snippet of a few frames at the last bit of the movie with them holding bags? That was a pretty darn long and important bonding between the two of them as siblings. Search Illya Lorelei fanmade, and you can see a 3 min video of the last of their conversation. Sorry for going on a rant, but I really feel Illya deserves better. People says that sakura is the saddest one? She at least got her route. Illya who, in my opinion faring worse than her did not.

@@furquim8181 exactly. Now the 3rd movie's ending is not going to have as much impact without all those cut scenes between shirou and illya. As for remakes... Let's see what Nasu choose to do after Part 2 of FGO. If Nasu chose to finish up that tsukihime remake announced NINE YEARS AGO, we can hope for an illya route or better yet a FSN remake. For now though... Chaos Theory is the best we got.

Honestly, I can never understand why people always try to downplay Shirou when "plot armor" is not really a thing when it came to his wins. There are pretty well-defined parameters in the situations where he can survive and the situations where he can't. If anything, I think the only actual plot armor is Sieg's wins in Apocrypha, which I think was egregiously used. Edit: Also, every route and as a result, every death he has in the VN is canon due to how the Nasuverse works so the routes where he survives being the only "canon" doesn't apply.
