That crochet bit was so sad. As a knitter, I would be upset to know that my work was unappreciated and deemed inappropriate because it was rainbow colored. WTF, it's a baby blanket. The creator obviously put a lot of time and effort into making it and her cunt of a coworker practically throws it out?! If I was given such a thoughtful gift, I'd cherish it. I hope that creator never makes another gift for that woman or her crotch goblins ever again.

@@iDontReallyKnowTbhthe video you mention is of an agitator marching along side a pride parade and then saying “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children.” And 2 people out of a crowd of hundreds joined him for a couple seconds. But if you look at the lips of literally everyone else around that small group, you’ll see their mouths don’t match that wording. What they’re actually saying is “We’re here, we’re queer, and we aren’t going shopping.” This video is used to twist the narrative in favor of the right.

Same, I was born into a liberal/accepting/supportive family, I was never taught homophobia. In fact, when I asked why two men were kissing on the lips in public, my Mamá just said “Oh they’re probably a couple.” And I just said okay. That was that, I never questioned it. Whenever I saw any gay couples I just thought “Oh, they’re in love, good for them,” or “Nice, I hope they live long happy lives together.” And I think those things for any couple I see.

I was so proud of my dad last month. He was upset that this gay MtG player had a mat with a bunch of bears on it. So he started shopping for a mat that would "flaunt his straightness the same way." About a week later, he realized that nothing he bought would cause anyone to bat an eye. His takeaway? "It isn't flaunting if I can do the same thing without upsetting others, so there's no reason I sould be upset." I was so happy to hear that he'd figured it out! He's still a bit of a bigot, but he's improving.

Okay, that's fine. Just remember that cheating on me with other guys is still cheating and I don't want to hear any whining about that."_ (comment on a date which ended shortly)

generally in my experience, the women that refuse to date bi men, are the user/abuser types. its not exactly about homophobia (i've seen it in staunch lgbt allies and bi women, too), or cheating. its about having options. they tend to target more average type guys and demand straight, all because a guy with less options is more likely to be desperate, so less likely to complain or question when being taken advantage of, or abused.

If anything it was a very dark pink, almost brown. So many hours down the drain, all for nothing. For a *stupid* color. My mother got sad and didn't finish it. I actually have a policy. When playing single player games that lets you choose a gender, I always pick female. When playing a mmorpg-like game (where the character is suppose my avatar/representation), I choose male. Why? I'm male and I'm sick of playing males in video games. This started when pokemon gold/silver first got released on gameboy and I've never stopped. With that said, I feel that, in video games, the female NPC's have pretty consistently been more interesting characters. A lot of male characters are usually relegated to, "I strong and no have feelings! I good!" The most would be like "My died so I'm ANGRY! This justifies all my mistreatment of other's and crimes!" Where like female characters, it's like "My husband went to war and was lost at sea during the 3rd pygmy wars. I've struggled as a single mother of 2 camel-sharks and a bird-daughter in a society that shuns me for just wanting to read and raising a child whose soul was infused with an animal. I only learned to read by moonlight that shines off of the bald head of the men that come at night to berate me." Like, seriously. If this man and this woman approached you at a bar, who'd you want to talk to more?

@@charlieink Being transgender has nothing to do with sexuality, and even if it did... So what? Every cartoon ever has people kissing, and often includes a bunch of borderline fetish content (if not straight UP fetish content). Not even talking about the internet and how sex-filled even the filtered parts of it are. Kids are learning machines, it's what their brains are *designed* to do. It's far better that they learn early in life, and thus absorb the important aspects of it, than later when they 'need' it, because if you haven't taught them by then... they've already done it themselves. Btw, the idea of "if we teach kids X then they'll do more of X" is very much wrong, as areas with better & earlier sex education have a much older average range for first sexual encounter, as well as a major decrease in teen pregnancies (abortions actually DECREASE as well). It's literally the best possible outcome.

Morbid fact: the reason it's sometimes so colorful during sunset is because of pollution. Dust and smoke in the air spreads and distorts light into these vibrant colors. There's beauty in everything, even death

@ShiningDarknes
@ShiningDarknes Жыл бұрын
Eh, even in places with little to no pollution the sunsets are colorful so no, no it isn't "because of pollution." Pollution causes it to look like that more often, but it looks like that because of disturbances across the pressure gradient (which the sunlight passes through at a shallower angle as the side of the planet you are on spins away from the sun meaning it has man more opportunities as the light has to pass through slightly more atmosphere to reach your eye so not all wavelengths reach your eye, thus you see colors instead of one uniform color). This can be distant rains, clouds forming, temperature changes causing a shift in pressure wind moving clouds at the far reaches beyond your ability to see, and yes, dust/smoke (but dust and smoke can also be natural). In areas of higher pollution these conditions are just met every single day because of how turbulent the air is over cities/larger towns. I lived in the desert for a year, beautiful sunsets; nearest city was like 30 miles north. Likewise, I visited my uncle who lives on a mountain near a national forest. Nearest city is 50 miles, nearest (very small) town is 20 miles. Basically no air pollution (the entire reason he moved out there), same beautiful sunsets. In other words: Nice try edgelord, but sometimes nature is just pretty with no sinister under/overtones.

I check this subreddit once in a while, to make sure I never accidentally say homophobic stuff to all my LGBTQ+ friends. I'd hate to have them be angry at me for saying something I didn't know is hateful.

20:39 "Homophobia is actually not a fear of anything, they're assholes" Not entirely true. Homophobia is a fear. The fear of being part of a group they were raised to believe or believe to be "bad". Homophobic people do not fear gay people. They fear that they might be a part of that group, a group they have been taught to hate. They were raised to consider it bad, so if they feel even the slightest doubt in their own sexuality, they fear that they might be part of the "gays". They are assholes tho, at least in most cases.

I like seeing sunsets. That doesn't mean I'm gay. I mean, I am, but not cause I like sunsets.
