In a liquid the molecules (or whatever) are free to move around but are still limited in the distance they can be apart. Viscosity is a measure of resistance to flow, so in a liquid with a high viscosity the molecules (or whatever) need more force to be moved, because they sort of catch on the other molecules around them. In a gas the molecules or atoms or ions are free to move anywhere (external forces notwithstanding) and are not tethered to the other bits of the original amount of material, meaning they can float away from each other to fill the space they're in.

Oh no the answer is very clear. Forward momentum is preserved but he is no longer being accelerated by the vehicle. Thus air resistance (of ANY KIND, doesn't matter vehicle's speed) will institute an acceleration in the opposite direction (deceleration in common phrasing) which would slow his forward momentum. it is unlikely that the effect would be THAT great but cartoons aren't known for adhering to absolute realism. Barring an intentional addition of further forward momentum caused by a notable forward jump he would either land on the board or fall off the vehicle. (there's no chance of the vehicle backing up over those two frames, the speed lines indicate travel in the direction of the front of the vehicle)

For example, the flag on a presidential limousine would appear to blow. This is a different effect than something sliding off your roof during acceleration, that's when the static friction between your roof and the thing is weaker than the force on the object from the car.

Went to 14 different decor stores in mid October to find some thanksgiving decorations, every store had only Halloween or Christmas stuff.
