I bought it and sure it has great portability and other features but they missed the most important thing for a keyboard- playability. It’s like trying to play a keyboard with the bubbles keys from a 1970s microwave. I returned it after a few hours of frustration and I’m glad I still have my nanoKey2 as a portable keyboard.

Imagine if this had the keys from Arturia Microfreak.

Considering portability, it would be great if all the settings, especially MIDI out channel was accessible right from the unit. I know you can setup scene presets with the editor, but would be cool to change channel itself in a scene without having to plug-it in to the editor.

Hi, does it lock flat, or does it need to rest on hard surface? If it folds up on you, when using it on the go, on your lap, on the sofa, for example, then it makes it pretty much useless as a on the go keyboard. 🧡
@EmlynInTheMix10 күн бұрын
Yea not really for playing in the lap, needs to be on a flat surface. If you were on an airplane you could have it on the food tray lol.
@-Deena.10 күн бұрын
@@EmlynInTheMix Ahh, that's a shame. They really really should have put a sliding lock on. It's not exactly play on the go if you need to carry a table with you 😁
@JayaLove9 күн бұрын
To be fair it’s so think I think locking and playing in your lap might break it from the pressure. I’d just use a book or lap desk.

@@JayaLove So just laying on my bed, on the sofa, in the park, on a car journey, I'd have to carry something thick enough wide enough and strong enough to rest it on. Something like a non-folding small midi controller 😁 See what I mean ?
@JayaLove9 күн бұрын
@ I had similar thoughts but really I think it just needs a small book. Otherwise put it in a table. I guess everyone’s use case is different.

I think Korg should add an additonal bluetooth and use a button-type battery (CR2032) similar to Wavy Monkey keyboard (bluetooth only controller).

This could be ideal for an open mic using phone as sound source perhaps? Do you think it is rugged enough to last?
@ilikeitdark1312 күн бұрын
Good idea.
@EmlynInTheMix11 күн бұрын
It’s not super rugged. Like feels like it would definitely break if you were rough with it.

How to change the midi channel? Is it restricted to being part of a scene change? That’s the thing that bugged me about nanokey studio and the og nano key.
@nebula069710 күн бұрын
The reason it doesn't have batteries and bluetooth is that they don't want it to cannibalize Nanokey Studio. Maybe they're working on a new version of that.

What? It's totally reasonably priced, barely over 100 dollars! Lots of cool engineering and miniaturization. Nano Keys studio is also amazingly priced around 130.
