I completely agree with your reasoning when buying these bags. If you love something enough and don’t get it, you will always regret it. About the dust in those hard to reach places, I would definitely try a can of compressed air. It’s usually used for electronics like keyboards and such.

Sending positive thoughts for your IVF. This was another great video. I sold both of my Empreinte bags and now regret just a little. You are so right they wear like iron. I had both for over five years and used them a lot and there was not one single mark on either. Maybe time to think of another.

Thank you for all this information, it’s extremely helpful for someone like me who wants to keep my collection reasonably small & curated. I have an 11 year old Lady Dior & the base has dropped significantly, I’m in the process of making a felt support for it to rest on when it’s not in use. I was also in two minds about getting a Speedy B, this video has made my decision easy, I’ll now put that money toward something else.

My Dior SA told me that I can bring it back for repair with a cost of 70-200 usd, which is not bad and gives me some comfort to use it without worrying too much. Mine is the abc Dior in steel gray, love that blue/silver gray you have there. Great video!

Re the rubbed corners of you Chanel tote: you might like to try out colourlock "leather fresh". It´s like a stain with some added filler and the ideal product to effortlessly fix rubbed corners especially on black leather.

This is so very helpful. I have always been a fan of structure. Interestingly I was on the fence about the Le boy from Chanel or the Dior diorama. To me both bags are so similar. My boy in calfskin I carried all over Paris fared very well. However I do think that the Diorama is even more durable in that coated leather. Especially on those sharp corners.

I use a thick samorga organiser for my gabrielle which holds up the structure of the bag and prevents any sagging on the distressed leather part .

My Chanel Classic Shopping Tote is definitely my most used Chanel workhorse bag. When my bag started to loose it’s structure I added a bag insert and it really helped. I know bag organizers/inserts are not your cup of tea, but maybe you could reconsider for structure reasons alone. Thanks for the suggestions on other brands that hold their shape better. In the end, if it gets used, it gets wear. But that is the point, right?

Bit of a random question: how do you deal with rain damage? I have a Gucci dionysus in a soft, metallic leather that I assume is lambskin, and I wore it during a bloody downpour and the rain has literally left indentations in the leather! I don’t really mind, because I bought the bag to use it, but is there any way to remove the indentations? I guess it’s kind of funny that I have rain indentations, lol 😂

I love my pochette metis in empreint but the glazing is having issues 2 years in... the inner parts on the top handle r stuck together and then came off. The shoulder strap has started to feel sticky... i hv other bags i own longer n used less, with no issues on the glazing... what can i say but LV quality need to be on par with their price point. Same issue with my empreint cles... sigh

@@joygo436 i did... the first store i went to wanted to charge me for the ‘repair’. But then i went to another Lv store and the girl was nice enough to replace it foc, after seeing the bag. (I showed them pictures only) i guess they want to see the condition of the bag to make sure i didnt abuse it... lol. Which is totally fine because i would do the same. Still, the prices they charge for their products, it should last longer than 2 years - i take care of my items very well...

Funny KZbin should recommend this video as I’ve never watched your channel before. Just yesterday, I was thinking I need to get LV to repair some of my items. Within 6 months of purchasing my Zippy wallet, fringes were exposed. I was advised repair would take weeks if not months, so I said nvm and carried on. But then yesterday, I noticed the glaze on my fur trunk-bag owl keychain is wearing off as well to where it now looks like I got it from the $ store 😭 I understand wear and tear but this much wear and tear within less than a year? A wallet and keychain should be able to withstand such usage. Subpar imo especially when considering each items were over $800-900.
