rant below honestly!! I have a chronic illness that makes me have a veryyyy limited diet (mcas) and MY OWN PARENTS don’t even do that for me when they have ppl over. it’s not nearly as hard to add gluten free or dairy free options than it is to accommodate my diet but that extra step to make sure they’re okay to eat at an event is something ppl don’t often consider. like even at friends parties they don’t even ask me if i want anything specific for my diet or if i’m okay to eat there (and i DO NOT expect them to). but for emma she just cares about ppl and isnt solely focused on her own needs which is hard to find edit: forgot to add that i have gluten and dairy intolerances too and friends and family often don’t even accommodate those, which is fine but emma’s a queen for this!!

I just love how chill and stress free she is while hosting, where as when my desi mom hosts we are forced to wake up at 7 am and help cook and clean plus double vacuum (night before and the day of the event) , when my mom cooks she's in the kitchen for like 6 hours!!! It’s kind of weird how Emma makes you feel like your part of her life and you know everything about her but you actually know nothing about her social life at all! Like she acts like she’s by herself all the time and doesn’t have any friends but she has so many friends and a boyfriend but we don’t know anything about it. Which is fine! Like she isn’t obligated to show us her life it’s just crazy how she pulls it off.

i love that even tho emma is a literal youtuber that makes vlogs, she doesn't just shove a camera in everyone's face or give them the impression that the pool party was solely for youtube content. she genuinely just wants to live in the moment, host the party for her guests, and keep her social life lowkey. it's cool that both emma & her audience understands that she doesn't have to show us EVERY aspect of her life, and she can keep her private life private if she wants to. HOWEVER... i would've loved to see a quick montage of a few people having fun & enjoying the atmosphere! maybe even a 10-second guest interview of them rating the charcuterie boards lol love you emma! xoxo
