The face mold/design on the dolls were so strange. They gave them all makeup which doesn't really fit them, especially the lipstick (I think they should've never had any). I also never liked the skin colors on them. I found it weird how they lightened all of them, when for characters like Applejack, it could've been reddened to make it more believable instead of indiscriminately lightening them all I also wished they incorporated the cutie marks more instead of just slapping them on the skirts (why do they ALL have the same skirt/boot pattern 😭 it's a ~fashion~ doll😭

I love Twilight's more princessy vibe and Pinkie Pie's outfit! And I think the reason Pinkie looks a little off is that due to her round features and pink skin the design reads pig not pony. Even her adorable boots unintentionally sell the pig vibe.

Okay, I've never written comments but I feel like I HAVE to point out how good not only your designs but also your video in general! I like the choice of music on the background, your voice sounds confident and you definitely know what you are talking about. The criticism of dolls is on point too, honestly they scared me when I saw them as a teen lol. And the memes in-between make the atmosphere so lively. The only thing I would point out is that sometimes memes are louder then your voice and it really hits the ears when they appear and also I think it was on Rainbow Dash moment or somewhere near when you can hear outside sounds like paper rustling And the designs absolutely slay, the colors you use suit them perfectly and the clothes match them so much, I think those are the best equestrians designs I've ever seen! The body shapes also say much about their character, what an awesome work! Keep going with the KZbin activity, you are natural!

I actually disagree! I think Rarity is very body positive and would be naturally a little thicker to encourage her "natural body". Her boutique would center around being size inclusive. It's also cute to imagine her being a little softer in comparison to Apple Jack's more muscular build as they are GFs.

I never thought about it being explicitly for the proportions but that makes a lot of sense. For some reason I thought it was because the high boots would be easier to manufacture??? For the dolls??? Idk why. Or the style at the time. But I think the high boots definitely helped hide their…like….”condition” lmao. I always thought them becoming teenagers in equestria girls a little odd, because they always came off to be well in their 20s maybe 30s in later seasons they just act on the younger side. (if they age like real life ponies, then I mean as in a human equivalent in age as horses, as well as ponies, only live to 25-30 years on average), and the fact Twilight being paired with a teenage version of... I forgot his name and too lazy to look it up... rubs me the wrong way, like even IF he is 18, it just feels weird for any adult way out of high school to date a high school student, which can range from the ages of 14-18, or at least in the USA, since all schools are different, this age range can change, but still it's a high schooler and feels a bit p*dophilic if you ask me.

I'm so late, but the designs are really pretty. Honestly, I love Twi and Fluttershy's outfit the most, they're adorable. I remember watching MLP when I was little and didn't think too much about their designs/outfits. I just enjoyed it because friendship and I thought they looked cute. Looking back, they do feel odd. They definitely suffer from same face syndrome. But I do enjoy the use of a variety of body shapes. I do hope you make more cause they're gorgeous. Also, the intermissions were interesting. I need the video of Pinkie Pie slaying. 😅

i was OBSESSED with equestria girls as a kid but even back then the designs scared me LMFAO you have such an amazing and varied sense of style that captures each girl so well!! i wish wish wish we could've had these designs instead of... I’m sure that 10 y/o you and 10 y/o me would’ve been great friends, because MLP and FNAF also took up like 90% of my brainspace at that time 😭💦 Anyways long comment ahead, here’s my design thought dump!! I imagine Rarity to be curvier like your design, but also taller! The Draculaura body type fits Pinkie best imo, and I love to see crazy height variety. I LOVE the Marilyn Monroe inspo, Rarity gives off those vibes of a timeless classic beauty. Your Fluttershy design was also my favorite. I might’ve given her undershirt a peter pan collar with a butterfly brooch(?)but the choker feels modern in a way that would appeal to doll collectors! This redesign gives off a real animal activist feel through the art alone, which is a testament to your design skill. THANK YOU THANK YOU for changing AJ’s hairstyle. There was always something off about how it’s originally drawn, and your redo totally rids her of that weirdness. Also 🤍🤍🤍 the change from blue denim to brown. It might not make design sense for the movie taking place in a high school, but for a fashion doll she’d look amazing. I mean this in the best way possible, Rainbow Dash reminds me of a Sonic Drive-Thru employee with her fanny pack, the red jacket and skates-I used to work there haha so she brought back memories. Her hair is SO creative!!! I am a firm Pinkie Pie hair sprinkles truther 💕💕💕so this design is a yes from me. I think roller skates would look fitting in a Pinkie design, but the rain boots are also v charming! I can imagine them splattered with glitter paint

okay, so i guess this is a very unpopular opinion…..(LONG RANT) i personally adore all 6 of the girl’s styles, with very small critiques. for instance, i’m pretty sure everyone wears boots to kind of give a nod to the pony versions of themselves, and so that their design down below doesn’t look too plain, as well as to give them a certain trademark. however i do think it wasn’t the best idea to give them all boots. rarity’s original EG design is, imo, the best besides AJ’s, because it gives a very elegant but youthful “old money” vibe, which suits rarity VERY well. plain as it is for such a fashion forward girl as herself, it’s a very cute and simple style for school that i think is very fitting for her. the redesign you gave her feels more like something a way older rarity would wear, though maybe that’s just bc of the body type. i think rarity should kinda be a little taller than the average girl’s height, maybe a little curvy, and i think she would have a little plumpness, but not much since she seems like the type to try to keep herself in shape (without all the athleticism). pinkie pie’s outfit, imo, totally embodies “hyper-weird-high-school-girl couture”, and i feel like it made her look a lot more mature, like she’s actually a girl in high school. however, i do think that making her either a tall and slightly chubby or a short and athletic goblin girl with a totally pinked-out kidcore style would’ve looked really good. i LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR PINKIE REDRAW!!! fluttershy’s outfit wasn’t my favorite, but it grew on me. i know it’s a kid’s show so it didn’t really need extra details, cos we didn’t care as much back then. but seeing it now, i feel like even though fluttershy would definitely be more of a minimalist, her outfit was way too plain. it was plainer than rarity’s. even though i like her outfit, i think she would’ve done well with the tank being more lacy with a cute soft brown cardigan, unifying the earthy color palette. i personally don’t like turquoise on her unless it’s an accent color-i LOVE the green she has on, because it gives a more warmer spring color, while turquoise leans more towards the colder winter time, which i don’t rlly associate her with given her color palette and hyperfixation/palette. she’s definitely the tall lanky one, both bc she was a lot taller and skinnier as a filly, but also because she definitely seems like being tall and lanky would be a socially awkward physical trait to have, especially when she wants to hide bc she’s shy but can’t fully hide or blend in bc she’s taller and sticks out. i ALSO LOVE UR FLUTTERSHY REDRAW! Dashie’s outfit, imo, was fine. it’s not the best outfit, but it definitely had parts of her personality in it. the blue, pink, yellow and reds in her outfit definitely gave her energy, and i liked that despite giving her skintight shorts bc she’s athletic, they gave her a skirt over it, which kept her femininity very apparent instead of making her a full-on tomboy (tho that would be cool too), and her boots resembling knee high lace up converse definitely matches her aesthetic/ personality. outfit wise, however, i do think she would’ve been better in cargo pants, a skin tight top and sneakers-more tomboyish but also giving that “cool girl” factor, with the sneakers showing off her athleticism. she definitely seems like the short fit kind who definitely has a napoleon complex. i like your dashie, she’s like…almost 20% cooler than she was in the movies. i won’t say it’s my least favorite, but something about twilight’s outfit irks me and has always irked me. i feel like it’s the color of the button up. like yeah it should have a more darker, midnight feel to it, a cooler palette, but it didn’t feel right to me. i think she would’ve looked really good in more darker colors like that purple. maybe a lighter blue button up with a dark purple cardigan, a plaid purple and pink skirt, the same leg warmers and shoes (or maybe platform maryjanes instead) a pink bow tie and her cutie mark on her cardigan would’ve been so much better. i just feel like she should’ve had a more reserved, bookwormy outfit. it would’ve been cute to give her little sleeve-pulling or sleeve-chewing nervous ticks. i feel like she’s either tall and quite pudgy, or short and pudgy. or, almost as tall as fluttershy, and the second flattest, next to RD. your twilight is like my third favorite, i love that you used more pink and gave her more blue and made her more royal looking 😭🖤💜 sunset shimmer’s was really cool to me as a kid, and i still think it’s pretty cool. but she definitely would’ve looked really cool with her dress being a little shorter, maybe fishnets, and pair it fishnet gloves? she also could’ve had her hair in a high ponytail. it would’ve given that really good dark, powerful grunge look. and then afterwards, in RR, they could’ve had her dial it down, maybe with ripped jeans, a cute black croptop with flames on it, and cool short boots that go under the cuffed ripped jeans. maybe underneath the jeans could still be fishnets. that way she keeps the grunge look, but she’s a lot more approachable and shows that she’s had development. she seems like the tall and slim (flat tummy, no abs, but also not much pudge) type. i don’t really have much of a problem with anyone else’s outfit. i mean i think apple’s outfit is really cute. maybe a scene or two of her with a tied short-sleeve button up and bell bottom jeans would’ve been cute. and i think everyone’s color palette in the movies was pretty good (imo). apple seems like she’d be average height, and she’d be fitter than rainbow, stronger than rainbow (at least in terms of arm strength while RD in leg strength), and has more muscle mass than the others, making her the heaviest. or maybe all that plus wider hips and broader shoulders, i dunno…but your AJ redraw was also pretty cute 🥺

I think the design here is going a bit too far into the mature aspect.
