What always gets me on re-watch is that in Kanan's pre-sacrifice vision, he heard things Ezra said during this finale, leading to Ezra's own sacrifice. Kanan got to know how his pupil would learn from Kanan's sacrifice and stand up to make his own...for others.

Yeah the pose shows Ezra very much was Kanan's padawan and that he applied everything taught to him such that by the end here, he ascends to Jedi Knight.

Sabine is great. Ezra couldn't have asked for a better sister. Their relationship started as the infatuated younger guy and the annoyed older girl, but both of them matured into their familial roles as the show went on so gradually that you could be forgiven for missing it. When you look back at Rebels, you see just how much Ezra and the Ghost Crew paved the path for the original trilogy to happen: - Ezra was the one that sent the message that caused the rebel cells to emerge and actually strike back at the Empire. - Eliminated various Inquisitors. - Gathered up various resources and supporters for the rebels to strengthen them. - Literally helped bring about the birth of the Rebel Alliance by protecting Mon Mothma. - Helped delay the completion of the Death Star by destroying the kyber crystal shipments twice. - Destroyed the TIE Defender factory. - Prevented Palpatine from attaining ultimate power through the World Between Worlds. - Removed Thrawn from the Empire because there's no way the Rebel Alliance could defeat him. Despite the Empire still being strong, the work that was put in by the Ghost Crew mattered more than people realized.

The live action Ahsoka show that will start airing episodes on August 23, is going to be about finding Ezra. That's why the show ended with Ahsoka and Sabine. If you watch the trailer, you see them both together at the same place you saw the show ended talking. You also see in the trailer of Sabine listening to Ezra's hologram recording of his farewell to the Ghost crew. Keep in mind, Sabine has Ezra's lightsaber. He gave it to her before his surrender.
@BitoyV3 Жыл бұрын
When Sabine said that Commander Rex fought at the Battle of Endor, one theory says that this one bearded Rebel commando in Return of the Jedi (who later ends up disguised in Scout Trooper armor) is Rex. LucasFilm refuse to confirm that it's Rex, but most of the fandom agree that it's him.

If you are curious about Rex he was at the battle of Endor in Return of the Jedi, on the forest moon with Luke, Han and Leia. There is an older man with a grey beard in their team as they are attacking the shield generator, Rebels decided to model Rex on him during this final season and made it canon that it was him in the movie. I think that was a really creative and great way of giving Rex a "cameo" in the original trilogy. Giving Rex the chance to help end the Empire that he played an unwilling yet still big part in creating. Im not sure if Rex or Ahsoka are my favorite characters to come out of TCW and Rebels, i love them both. I had really fun following your journey with Rebels, im glad you decided to react to the entire series and not just the best episodes.

I'm pretty sure the implications are that the Purgill dragged the wreckage of Thrawn's ship out into the unknown regions of space, and there's no telling where they stopped, so Thrawn and Ezra are lost out there somewhere. It seems like the upcoming live-action Ahsoka show will be about Ahsoka and Sabine looking for him.
@SigTheSauceMan Жыл бұрын
21:22 So... the Purgill jumped them into the unknown regions (areas of the galaxy that have never been mapped/traveled to by anyone from the outer rim or inwards). And the star destroyer they were on was crippled, so there's no way for them to jump back. 21:40 Notice that Chopper had Ezra's lightsaber and just gave it to Sabine (since she's the only one of the Rebels remaining who can use it). 24:15 The final time when Kanan and Herra were alone, earlier in the season. I also recommend you now watch (and probably react) to the Ahsoka series trailers. It picks up where Rebels left off. And I'm sure you saw from Mandalorian Season 2 that Ahsoka's mission was mentioned.

@@nathandts3401 I liked Andor but it just doesn't feel like Star Wars it's more hardcore sci/fi which ain't a bad thing, I like every single Rain Johnson movie since he started with Brick to the latest Knives Out I am however in the camp of people that disliked The Last Jedi not as much as some fans as despite me not liking it had a few good elements to it but then Rise of Skywalker destroyed some of the best parts of The Last Jedi for me and Ep 9 was, in my opinion, the worse Star Wars film of the 9. But again just my opinion that doesn't make me right as I wish I could have loved those films as you have.

@@sachaallari592 I appreciate the measured response. For the record, the only sequel film I do like is Last Jedi. As for Andor, people like Star Wars for different reasons. One of the main ones is that it's good guys fighting space fascists. Fundamentally, it runs with a theme people are familiar with. The only difference is how deep it's willing to examine the theme. As a side note, the main theme of Last Jedi being to respect the past, but do your own thing is probably the main reason Andor exists.

I tried to keep my mouth shut, but I can't anymore. There's a big difference between a hologram and a Holocron. Some holocrons are capable of projecting holograms, which might explain the confusion. Ezra was not trained as a normal Jedi because Kanan hadn't completed his own training, so Ezra's training was much less "temple and code" oriented and much more "mysteries of the Force" oriented. That is why he is able to form such bonds with various creatures like the Loth Wolves and the Purgill. At the end there, when Ezra had his arms outstretched, one holding the door closed and the other towards Thrawn, he wasn't actually holding Thrawn, the Purgill were holding Thrawn "like many arms in a cold embrace" as the Bendu said. As Ezra was saying his goodbye, you could see all the shards of glass just floating in the air around him. I'm convinced that he was so tapped into the Force at that moment that it was just flowing through him like a raging river and his other hand was actually projecting a Force Barrier like Kanan used to save the rest of them from the explosion. Ezra was using it to prevent the bridge of the Star Destroyer from decompressing.

My biggest concern with all these shows was ok where are all these cool and important characters they are retroactively creating in this universe when there were so few big cast members in the original movies. So my assumption was ok everyone basically has to die right? I guess not. I think they did a pretty good job explaining everything here. Anyway thanks for reacting to these. I had only really tried clone wars at the point you started these and I can never making it even halfway through season1 before getting turned off from the show. I only watched Rebels and The bad batch because you did and I found myself enjoying them for the most part. Not I will try to work on clone wars if I can force my way through season1. Supposedly everyone says it gets better so I just need to get through the painful bits.
