Didn't really pick a side, I can see where the Jedis hands were tied, but I was also very sympathetic toward Ahsoka. Kinda fits with her character being a force for good but not so dogmatically loyal to the Jedi. Awaking, Obi-Wan, and Yoda always respected her to make her own choice. And they always will. We love our Little Soka!

This is one of the very best arcs in the entire series, all that tension and mystery is insane, let alone the twist at the end. Probably the craziest thing is the fact that Barriss is actually right for the most part. The Republic is indeed failing, it's actually almost at the end of its life (this takes place less than a year before ROTS) and the Jedi have indeed become tied to the Senate And trust me, this will not remain the only time you will bawl your eyes out

And this was due to Season 5 happening around the time that Disney bought Star Wars...and Cartoon Network wasn't going to share the show with them. Netflix got to make a deal with both Disney and Cartoon Network to release a few more stories as a "Season 6" a year or so later. While this was happening, Dave Filoni (the mind behind The Clone Wars) was allowed to do a new show for Disney called "Star Wars: Rebels" which canonically happens between Episode 3 and 4 (leaning towards Episode 4). Around the time Rebels was ending, Disney was able to get full control over The Clone Wars series and offered Filoni a chance to continue the show if he wanted. Wanting to finish it his way but also wanting to move on to other projects, Filoni agreed to do one final season of the Clone Wars which would debut in 2020 on Disney+.

"I know", I like to think that ashoka not only refers to Anakin and Padme, but also to his own views in what the republic and the jedi council are doing. Fun observation. Remember when the council called it "her great trial"? According to the book "The Jedi PaThP the Great trial is the final test for knighthood. Passing makes you a full Jedi Knight. @@RB_Eldritch nah, he was frustrated because becoming a master grants you several privileges that aren’t afforded to regular Jedi, such as being able to access the holocron vault. He would have been granted free reign to search through all the Jedi knowledge and texts. Also, it was a major sign of disrespect for them to put them on the council without making him a master. It’s like he said: “It’s never been done in the history of the Jedi; it’s insulting.” Though you’re not totally wrong; the reason he’s so impatient and bitter toward the council is in part because of how they treated Ahsoka.
@DovahFett
@DovahFett 2 жыл бұрын
@@darthgrievous8055 Correct, but keep in mind that the only reason he was on the Council in the first place was because Palpatine pressured for him to be there. Without his political clout, Anakin would not have ever been invited to sit on the Council before reaching the rank of master. He would have been promoted first, and then put there, and like Obi-Wan says in Episode III, the Council was very close to doing so anyway. It was still the Jedi's mistake for not just making him a master on the spot, since he had more than earned it through his actions during the war, but Palpatine forced their hand by placing Anakin on the Council as his representative and ignoring their practices and protocols.

@@DovahFett oh, you’re absolutely right. But I imagine that it wasn’t just the act of not making him a master under these unusual circumstances that made Anakin so upset. After his vision of Padmé’s death, he undoubtedly thought that there could be a solution in the Archives that he would have been able to access as a master, not to mention that he was caught off-guard by their decision and they asked him to spy on Palpatine before he even had time to process any of that. Ugh, the number of bad decisions made by everyone in ROTS was so frustrating.

Emme, *very* minor spoiler here: "the little racoon guys" (at 16:30) as you called them, are called "Loth Cats". They originated on the planet Lothal, which you will become familiar with later on. That's all I'll say about it. Like many other creatures, they have made their way across the galaxy. Also, this story arc was pretty much made to explain why Ahsoka wasn't in the movies that were made before her character was created. lol 24:06 - Yellow lightsabers are fairly specific to the Temple Guards (so far). You'll notice they all carry identical lightsabers. 28:00 - Also, Maul is no longer a Darth. That is a title reserved for Sith Lords, and Maul was abandoned by Darth Sidious after losing to Obi-Wan in Phantom Menace. He is simply known as Maul, now.

Devil's Advocate Time! The first time watching this arc pretty much everyone can't see Barriss as anything but evil, because at this point in the series we've become so attached to Ahsoka that when she's so grievously wronged, viewers also feel wronged. The part of Barriss' motivations that we actually know is very interesting when you dive into it, and there is much we don't know but can speculate on. First of all, I'd like to start with the plainly obvious. Regardless of her actions, Barriss was correct. The Republic was falling and the Jedi were fighting for the dark side, we happen to know thanks to hindsight. The Republic was a terribly corrupt institution which Palpatine was able to successfully manipulate. Palpatine, the sith lord, orchestrated both sides of the Clone Wars, and the Jedi council never saw it coming. Instead the council chose to join the war, to become a part of the military. She's a smart cookie, she pieced together that something was horribly wrong with the way the Jedi were acting, *and she was right*. Her whole arc throughout TCW is about what a Jedi should be -- if you recall from S2E8 "Brain Invaders", she had a discussion with Ahsoka about what it meant for Jedi to be warriors vs peacekeepers. In other instances she also questions whether it was right for the Jedi to reject their emotions. This is speculation, but it seems likely she struggled to reconcile what she was taught with what the Jedi were actually doing--and what she had been made to do as a conscript to a wartime military. And I believe she was perfectly right to struggle with that, since the Jedi were clearly in the wrong during the Clone Wars. There are so many examples throughout the show of the republic and the jedi's questionable actions during the war. There is also plenty of question as to whether the war is justified at all. Although some of the separatist leadership are sith, there is plenty of evidence that the Separatists had just cause to secede from the republic. Why are the jedi fighting a war to prevent that? Is that really what peacekeepers should be doing--what Jedi should be doing? The conclusion Barriss came to, clearly, is that it absolutely was not. And, again, she's correct. The Jedi's willingness to participate in this conflict was the critical choice that led to their downfall. They fell right into Palpatine's hands. Think about the location Barriss chose to destroy--a military hanger where clones--soldiers--were killed. That is a symbolic target. As Letta says, Barriss wanted to make a statement. She destroyed the militant (violent) presence in the temple of "peacekeepers". Her statement was that the Jedi should not be participating in this war. That the Jedi have made a terrible error, and that it has cost too much, and that the Jedi as a whole deserve consequences for what she perceives as their injustice. You mention that Barriss should look at herself in a mirror, I think she has. Look at her speech, she doesn't say "*The Jedi* lost *their* way", she says "*We* lost *our* way". She includes herself in the group she believes deserves to be on trial. This whole thing was her seeking justice. **So why frame Ahsoka Tano?** At this point what we know for sure kind of runs dry, but if I were to be generous, I would speculate that it's actually quite simple. Ahsoka Tano is someone she trusts dearly, but who trusts the council and the Jedi too much. I think Barriss framed Ahsoka to show her, well, exactly what happened. The council didn't support her when it mattered. She was left out to try, trusted by nearly no one at all, and abandoned just like Ventress. In the end Ahsoka leaves the Jedi order because of what this whole escapade revealed to her about the Jedi order, an escapade orchestrated by Barriss. If that seems severely fucked up, yeah it is. But in fairness to Barriss, she did fall to the dark side over this. Can't exactly expect her to be entirely sane about things. (If I chose not to be charitable, I would say Barriss did it to turn Ahsoka. Either way, she did it because of their friendship--her attachment) ~~(If I was being gay I would say Barriss loved her)~~ --- Incidentally there's a rumor that Barriss will show up in the Ahsoka show! I really hope that happens so we can get some of these questions answered. And maybe some redemption! I mean hell this is the universe that forgave child-murder-daddy, I think we can handle a disaffected child soldier.

This is the story I wish we had gotten with Barriss. Imagine a plotline where we see her struggle repeatedly, as a recurring side character in a couple of episodes mixed throughout the seasons, with double standards of the jedi, with her dogmatic yet overly loyal master and, maybe, with some trauma of the event on Geonosis. I wouldn't have minded a love story either, it would add another level to her loss of faith in the jedi rules. Unfortunately much of what you wrote is conjecture and hopeful thinking, a background for Barriss they never wrote. A fall like hers could have been understandable, shown us much more other perspectives and made this betrayal truly heartbreaking. So, to counter your charitable reading, here's my cynical one: They realized over the course of the show how popular Ahsoka had become and that there was no way she was going to die and not be involved in future content. She needed to be out of the story and out of the Jedi, but they came up with all the details fairly late. Being abandoned by a the jedi was the best way, furthering Anakins mistrust. They needed someone to betray her, a jedi who had appeared in the show but was not in episode 3, optimally one who was known to her for emotional impact... Welp, there are not many to choose, they rarely developed new jedi in this show (who survived), much less padawans. They did their best with her then, but it seems clear that they wrote themselves into a corner and did not plan Barriss' involvement from the start. These are amazing episodes, I love everything about them BUT Barriss' setup. It could have been a plotline to rival Maul's :/

Part 3 6. The fight between Bariss and Ahsoka Bariss uses 2 lightsabers in this fight. However, she fights use one lightsaber she tries not to use them at the same time. It was Ahsoka who trained with Bariss in the 2 lightsabers fight Offee did not want to reveal her identity. What Barriss presents is not the Jarkai style (style for 2 lightsabers) but a mixt of many styles. Barriss provokes the continuation of the fight, but most of the time she defends herself in most of the duel she uses the form III (Soresu) which she knows best. Soresu is always about the defense and fatigue of the opponent. Fun Fact In legends, Bariss was supposed to have 2 lightsabers. The one she used mostly for training with Tano. In Kenobi's episode 5, we see a very similar lightsaber, and I wonder if it's not him. (I don't think so. Bariss is Filoni's child as much as Ahsoka. In the Kenobi series, Filoni was not a director. It is possible that this lightsaber is one of the Ventress Lightsabers. I take this into account because we do not know what happened to them and we know that Ventress' lover was there.) Bariss, after seeing that Ahsoka is tired, doesn't even use lightsabers to prevent her fighting style from being recognized by Tano. Ahsoka could sense Barriss but was fully focused on the fight. Barriss using the mix of dark and light side could also be difficult to recognize in force. Ahsoka told the council that she wasn't sure she was fighting Ventress because Ventress has a very aggressive fighting style. 7. The fight with Anakin Anakin is a symbol of darkness and revenge. Bariss is a symbol of fear and betrayal. Anakin had many options to interrogate Offee, however he took her lightsaber and then began fighting her. Anakin didn't care if he hurt her or not. She just had to live long enough to tell the truth. Anakin, despite being supported by the dark side and hatred, fought Bariss for a long time because Bariss also trained with him. It is known that Anakin had to capture her alive, but such a long defense is impressive. When Anakin entered her room, Bariss was confused. She had 2 options to try to escape or confess. Starting the fight, he pushed Bariss into the darkness again. Propably the best way would be to talk. If Anakin had been calm and understanding, Barriss would have confessed herself and surrendered without a fight. (3 key words - Barriss I know) "Ahsoka trusted you and you betrayed her!" Anakin is not just talking about Ahsoka, he is also talking about himself. Barriss was a very good friend to him. Anakin met Barriss during the dispute on the planet Ansion. (Before the Clone Wars) (Bariss uses both lightsabers. Ahsoka's characteristic move is to cross them to block the opponent and effectively disarm or perform a counterattack. Bariss makes this move. Which may be proof that Bariss actually trained 2 lightsabers with Ahsoka) Meybe after her speech, her fight against the dark was over. She won. But we don't know this. Many people consider the sentence that red lightsabers suit her as a symbol that the Bariss we knew is gone and she lost this long and heroic fight. 8. What others thought about Bariss and Ahsoka 1. Anakin He despised Bariss, refused to understand her if Bariss had contact with him, she would not have survived. Anakin never forgave Barriss for what she did to Ahsoka, especially after his padawan left the Jedi Order. Remake of one of the scenes about Ahsoka (Unfinished episode) kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaXPd2V_npunncU Skywalker spent the first few weeks alone in his room. He did not speak to anyone. First he talked to Padme and then Palpatine. Again, for a long time, he stopped trusting Kenobi. 2. Ahsoka "Barriss was wrong about a lot of things. She let her anger cloud her judgment and she tried to justify her actions without considering their wider effects. She was afraid of the war and she didn't trust people she should've listened to. But she had a point about the Republic and the Jedi. There was something wrong with them, and we were too locked into our traditions to see what it was. Barriss should've done something else. She shouldn't have killed anyone, and she definitely shouldn't have framed me for it, but if we'd listened to her-really listened-we might have been able to stop Palpatine before he took power. " Ahsoka mostly recalled these events. Even in the Empire Era. Barriss's betrayal must have hurt her, but Barriss changed her perception of war and Jedii. As time passed, Tano more and more agree with Barriss. I wouldn't be surprised if Ahsoka forgave Barriss. 3. Obi-Wan Kenobi felt sorry for Anakin, but did not start talking to him about Bariss or Ahsoka. He felt that the Jedi's lack of reaction to Bariss's bad training was to blame for it. Kenobi wanted to fight for Ahsoka and Anakin. In the scene with Ahsoka refusing to rejoin. Kenobi wants to follow Ahsoka with Anakin. Obi is stopped by Plo who, without a word but only with his hand on Kenobi's shoulder, tells him to let go. Compared to Kenobi, Plo knew that nothing will convince her to come back, at least not now. 4. Plo Plo believed himself complicit in Ahsoka's departure (He brought her to the Jedi Temple. He had known her since she was a child. And he believed that Ahsoka was a traitor), but he believed that Luminara was to blame the most. But he never said it. He wondered if he had taken Bariss as student or had helped her training as he had helped Anakin, perhaps it would not have come to that. Plo and Anakin in the series are the only ones who apologize. "Little Ahsoka had everyone's support: her Master Anakin, Master Kenobi, me.. And even Grand Master Yoda. Young Bariss had no one. She tried to ask for advice and help, but we were blind and deaf to her cries. We should have reacted. I should have reacted." Plo felt sorry for Bariss. He didn't recognize her guilt when she was expelled from the order like Ahsoka. For him, the Jedii were guilty, not Bariss (He was the only one to object) In my opinion, Plo understood Bariss the most and what she felt over this years. I think if it were not for the Mirialan tradition, Plo would have chosen Barriss as a student. 5. Yoda After Tano left, Master Yoda felt that everything he had worked on was lost. He feared for Anakin the most. There are a few stories where Yoda thinks about handing over another student but in the end, he did not decide to do this or student was killed during the battle He finds himself guilty for everything as the leader of the order. Yoda felt the same way when Dooku left. 6. Palpatine "I must one day thank Master Yoda for how they treat their chosen one and support our little mission." Fragment of Conversation between Palpatine and Dooku "Listen to me. The Jedi have taken care of your mission, a mission that we did not even manage to start because there was no good opportunity" "What mission, Master?" "One of the Pillars has been destroyed. Two more remain." "After saying these words, Palpatine get inside his ship, leaving Dooku without explanation. Count had known about Ahsoka's left before but what was his mission supposed to mean?" (Meybe this is an explanation of Ahsoka's vision in Mortis ark. If Ahsoka had not left the order and her master, she would have been killed propably by Dooku during or before Revenge of the Sith. Anakin wouldn't have saved her then because the "seed of the dark side" had grown.) Palpatine was impressed with what Bariss had done, possibly seeing her as an ally. However, any disclosure would be a huge risk. Bariss was highly trained, she knew the dark side and the Sith magic or any attempt to control her would be too risky. 7. Luminara Unfortunately, I don't know what Luminara felt about Bariss' betrayal. I suspect that she still showed her regret without much emotion and forgot about her and this events. (I know she spent more time with Yoda after these events. It's possible that Yoda wanted to teach her something, or Luminara herself admitted that she needed support.) 8. Dooku After some time, the Count learned about Tano left the Order. Although Dooku had never met Ahsoka but he knew that her decision would give Sidius a big advantage. The Count insisted that Anakin could join them very quickly. This must have worried him because his goal is to kill Sidius and Anakin would definitely be a problem.

I was about 9 years old, when the clone wars premiered, and I watched it until I was 12 but I never finished it, Ahsoka was my favorite character, and 2 years ago I watched the series again. Want to know the saddest thing? Disney canceled the show after this, so this was the last episode to air on tv. They did allow the creators and Netflix to air the future episodes that were already finished at the time the show was cancelled which is what season 6 is, but then after that, the show was left unfinished for almost ten years. Over that time, the creators released information about all the story arcs that they had planned, which would've made the show 8 full, roughly 20 episode seasons long. We got two complete arcs that were fully completed as half animated story reels, a few half animated scenes, an entire novel written from an unmade arc, a comic written from another, and basic descriptions of everything else that would've come out all the way to the original series finale that was planned. Then in 2018, they announced that the show would be coming back with one final season which is obviously season 7 which came out in 2020. They completed the animation on one of the half finished story reels, gave us one of the other arcs that we only had one half-finished scene of, and they got to bring the original series finale to life and give the show the ending they always planned for it to have. The novel made from an unfinished arc is about Quinlan Vos and Ventress teaming up to kill Dooku (several scenes of which are one KZbin), the novel is about Maul escaping from Palpatine's prison and the short war he waged against his master, there was one arc that was going to be about Cad Bane training Boba Fett where Boba gets his armor and in the end, they have a western style duel where Boba gets the famous dent in his helmet. The one full arc that remained incomplete was about Anakin and Obi-Wan stealing a massive kyber crystal from General Grievous (which is what is used to power the Death Star's laser), there was supposed to be an arc about Yoda and the Wookies on Kashyyyk to explain why he has "good relations" with them like he says in Revenge of the Sith, one arc was supposed to be something about Rex and R2 going on some kind of adventure together, one was supposed to be about the discovery of a Sith temple underneath the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and there are a few drawings of Ahsoka trying to cut through the door with Palpatine doing Sith stuff on the other side to keep her from entering, and there was supposed to be one about going back to the water planey from the beginning of season 4. And I'm not going to say anything about the last three, cause those are the ones that got put into season 7.

This arc always makes me so sad. But I am so glad it exists. It helps explain Anakin's state of mind months later when he gets further manipulated by Palpatine related to potentially losing Padme. To lose his mom, then Ahsoka, then Padme would have seemed unbearable to him. It also helps explain his distrust of the Jedi which is only BARELY believable by what we see in the movies alone.

If Ahsoka didnt leave the Order this wouldve been her trial and she would become a Jedi Knight, getting her own Clone army aswell, but i can understand her choice. I wouldnt want to return if i knew they just dont actually trust me You asked about the yellow lightsabers - theyre supposed to mean a balance between blue and green. As you may already know, blue means that the user relies more on action rather than using the Force. Green is the opposite, the user relies more on meditating and using the Force than speaking with the lightsaber. Yellow is the perfect balance between the 2. I think it fits the Temple Guards pretty good. Also a fun fact from a Dark Disciple novel. Ventress did turn back to the light and had a yellow lightsaber, also fell in love with a Jedi Quinlan Vos (you may remember him), but she wasnt a Jedi. No way they would accept her in the Order i guess New series Tales of the Jedi came out yesterday too. Theyre just 15 minute shorts 6 episodes 2 arcs. Theyre listed in timeline order but the arcs are built like this: 1, 5 and 6 and 2, 3 and 4. Im guessing you could turn that into 2 reactions but ill leave that up to you. Tarkin is the reason why Ahsoka left the Jedi Order, not just the Jedi Council who turned their back on her. No wonder why he's the number 1 villain on Star Wars: A New Hope. He lured her into Letta's cell, ordered Barriss to choke Letta in front of Ahsoka, falsely accused her of murder, and imprisoned her. He also wanted her dead at the military trial due to his anti-sentiment against the Jedi, so the Empire was created before Palpatine made it official.

So... about the yellow-bladed lightsabers. Ordinarily, yellow blades indicate a Sentinel-class Jedi (as opposed to blue for Guardian-class Jedi and green for Consular-class Jedi). However, Temple Guards are an exception. A Temple Guard's lightsaber staff is actually not made by them, but premade and given to them to use while they are a Temple Guard (additionally, Temple Guards are not guards forever. Jedi Masters regularly rotate as Temple Guards, but ensure their identities are never known).

I love Ahsoka's arc. Especially if you read the book after she leaves the clone wars series. Because if you want to know more about this story arc from Ahsoka, leaving the Jedi order, and what happens with her after that. You should really read or listen to the book AHSOKA. She basically exiles herself, and goes into hiding after order66. But as you might expect, she can´t stay hidden when she sees the people suffering. But every time she helps someone, she needs to run and hide again somewhere else. It´s a very bravely written character, very honor bound and empathetic towards others, no matter what it may cost her. A true Jedi, even though she thinks she is not worthy.

I still remember when these episodes first came out. The end of this arc was the first series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as this was when Lucasfilms was bought by Disney, so Cartoon Network lost the rights to the series. Season 6: The Lost Missions, made up of episodes finished and meant to be part of Season 5, came out on Netflix in 2014. Season 7: The Final Season didn't come out until 2020. This series is still important to me, as it is what first got me into Star Wars.

The council and the Senate were extra foolish because they forgot Ahsoka was not even on Coruscant when the bomb exploded, so them saying she was sus and they thought she was the bomber makes zero sense. She also resisted killing or hurting clones which is inconsistent with the dead clones at the jail, they also have cameras at the jail and should have seen that she was in her cell at the time of the clones being attacked. Any amateur detective would have proved her innocence within an hour.

Information is a mix of legends and canon, it is difficult in the case of Bariss to remember what is canon and what is legend because information about Braiss was changed many times from legends to canon and from canon to legend. Now almost all information about Barriss is in legends. (Even how old Barriss is is in the legends now and there are several dates so thx Dysney) Why Barriss? My friend and I were looking for evidence that she would appear in a series Ahsoka or Mandalorian or Bad Bach and we really liked her. Personally, For me Bariss is now in very strong 2nd place. Have a nice read :) 1. Luminara stupidity The Luminara chose the Barriss only because of the traditions of her race. Initially, Bariss developed a strong and good relation with Luminara. Bariss had problems but Luminara helped her apprentice. During the First Battle of Geonosis. Bariss and Anakin were the only Padawans to survive the Battle of the Arena. Luminara was taking care of Barriss back then. An example would be ordering Offee to evacuate from Arena. Luminara then feared she would lose Bariss that she might be killed. Luminara was a demanding teacher, but before the Clone Wars she was good for Barriss In this relation were sometimes emotional moments. It wasn't an Anakin scale, but Luminara allowed herself and Barriss to be litle emotional, rarely but there were such moments. When the Clone Wars began, Luminara and Barriss's relations changed. Luminara never tolerate emotions in her apprentice. The apathetic approach and lack of support led to Bariss' distrust. Instead of learning from Luminara, she asked questions to, for example, Ahsoka, Anakin, or Plo Of course, Ahsoka also learned from other Jedi such as Plo and Kenobi, but the difference is that Bariss did not want to listen Luminara during the lesson when she trained with other Jedi she listened to them that was giving her lessons. Bariss completly distrust Luminara when she heard that Luminara had allowed her to die during the Second Battle of Geonosis and she survived only by Anakin's attachment to Ahsoka. (The funeral scene is important because there is no Luminara next to Barriss and at such events/ceremonies master should be with his student) Bariss was not creative. She learned that she had to complete missions exactly as Luminara told her. She "learned" creativity from Anakin and Ahsoka. After a while, Bariss was just as or more creative than Anakin season 5 is proof. "I do not know what to do without bombs" - Barriss "Student's failure is due to master's stupidity" - Count Dooku Luminara and Anakin training can be compared again. Bariss became a Fallen Jedi (uses both dark and light side. A Fallen Jedi rarely remains a user of the light and dark side. It's hard to use the dark side and the light side at the same time because these are opposites. Maintaining balance between the light side and the dark side is hard but possible. Barriss has many ways to become for example: Dark Jedii, Gray Jedii, a Neutral Force User, or still be a fallen Jedii.) Ahsoka became a Gray Jedi (uses the light side sets his own way and does not recognize the Jedi code. Fun fact: Dave Filoni thinks Tano is not a gray Jedi, she is more than that. There is also the White Jedii in the legends who is almost identical to the Gray. White Jedi are just more traditional) From the initial normal master-apprentice relation. Luminara made Bariss feel pet or think -definitely not treated equally. Anakin always considered Ahsoka equal (it was obvious and easy to understand). Luminara may also consider Bariss equal, but this has not been seen, Bariss has never heard from the master that she depends on her. All she heard was the criticism, and in the victory batle, "Padawan you did well" or something like that (no emotion and indifference) (It is known that something changed in Luminara. She cared about Bariss but then leaves her to die. It is possible that in time Luminara meybe even forgot she cares about her and that Bariss should be treated with dignity and equal. She was one of the Jedi who became easily blinded by the war and recognizing the republic's victory as the only solution. So this is probably the reason for the change.) It's obvious that Anakin's relation with Ahsoka wasn't good, but I think Luminara hurt More Bariss than Anakin himself 2. Fear of war The Mirialans were known for their spirituality and strong connection to the world around them. They had natural faith and practiced a primitive understanding of the Force. For this reason, members of the species on Mirial have been taught to respect and obey the Force. Before the war, Barriss as a Padawan was taught these traditions of peace and spirituality as part of her culture. The Clone Wars are the complete opposite of what she was learning. She could have had the first thought that looked somethink like this: Jedi teach me about peace, pacifism and spirituality, and join war. What a hypocrisy Bariss is a typical pacifist. She didn't understand the point of joining the Jedi to the war. After the first Battle of Geonosis, she wanted to help the wounded Clones. She had trouble sleeping at this time. Master Bilaba warned Luminara that Bariss was not ready for war and that an obsessive desire to help could hurt Bariss. 3. War Trauma Master Bilaba was right. Luminara disobeyed once again and allowed Bariss to force heal training. She didn't learn this skill immediately and not perfectly, and clones died in her hands. Barriss was attached to the clones. She considered them victims of the war. They were made to die (They had no choice) Each clone's death was bad for Bariss. Sometimes it was not possible to help, but only to reduce their pain during their deaths. Bariss's trauma and problems are seen in the Second Battle of Geonosis "Kill me please" - Bariss speaking to Ahsoka being infected by a parasite The desire to save the clones led to an order to pretend to be corpses. When Bariss first used this tactic, she used it to surround the enemy and win the battle. Later Bariss's fear led her to use this order only to survive her and the clones. Bariss took part in many battles including Umbara. After this battle, Bariss thought of leaving the Order, but her friendship with Ahsoka stopped her.
