Every performer here is so in command of their technique and so dedicated to listening to each other. I've thought about this performance every day since Monday's initial performance. Strickland's usage of 'Tranes shadings then adding his own was so satisfying.

All are masterful and original. Horn player is channeling Dolphy with his modal game. Drummer is a listener which is the highest compliment a drummer can earn!

Great solos!! The trumpet player was definitely paying homage to Lee Morgan. And that sax player was SMOKING!!! I heard some Trane licks, which is always appreciated. The rhythm section was relentless. Pianist solo starts off playing straight McCoy Tyner sh**. Christian McBride, Russell Hall and Kyle Poole are 'cats' to be reckon with! 5 stars out of 5!!!!!
