I was absent-mindedly watching HO earlier with my family, saw Doug and screamed his name way louder than I should have. I was nearly in tears, so excited by his return. Wasn't expecting him back till Monday. Everyone was looking at me weird, but I didn't care, I was just so happy to see him.

I feel bad for Brendan, he was doing so good and then he has one conversation with his father and he loses it. And poor Leah had to witness crazy Brendan, I feel like if Brendan just talked to someone about his creepy ass father and what he did to him, a weight would be lifted off of him because keeping something like that in it just builds up anger.

Brendan hates creepy crawlies? No shit! His father is one big creepy crawly and so is Walker. Brendan never gets a break, but that's life. Some people never get to be truly happy... at least not for long. I just know that when Brendan's with Ste, those happy moments could last a lifetime. I just wish Emmett wasn't leaving so soon. Some actors have been on Hollyoaks for years. The actress who plays Cindy has been on the show since she was 18 and now she's 32. That's a long run. I wish E.S. well.

That's basically what I mean. If it wasn't for that moment, I don't think he would've responded like that. Obviously would've been angry with the guy, but wouldn't've lashed out as severely. I am so sickened by Seamus it's insane. Especially when he hugged him earlier, you could just see the absolute horror. Broke my heart. omg. I've never been so emotionally invested in a character in my life, but after almost 3 years of him, it's hard not to be. =(

It feels kind of crappy knowing things are going to get really bad for Brendan. He's such a great character and we've watched him struggle so much. Can't we get a few happy episodes without Walker, Doug and Seamus interfering?

I hoped they might employ a clever twist where B fakes his own death to escape his enemies and disappears for then to reappear when Kieron Richardson is ready to leave the show and they sail into the sunset together. I think that's the least we deserve after being so devoted to the sl for so long, really making Hollyoaks one of the most beloved soaps in th UK (and in many other parts of the world!!)

I feel so bad for Bren. You can see he does enjoy spendin time with kids, it's just its still awkward n hard for him to do somethig he thinks hes not good at. His father presence just makes it hard. We know he has a temper n its somethin he is tryin to deal with. It really upsets me b/c we know how hard he is tryin. Not everyone is a natural when it comes to bein a parent. Everythin was destroyed by his father n he has to try figure out a way to live normal, glad Ste bein there is helpin him.

So with Walker being back and the fact that he threatened to kill Ste, I assume this will be the reason behind Brendan's departure - to protect Ste and the kids from Walker. I hate this. I like Doug and he deserves a great guy, but it's not Ste. Brendan belongs with Ste because they bring out the best of each other. I do hope Brendan tells Cheryl the truth about Seamus so she knows what that monster did to him.

honestly half the stuff Brendan done my own father haven't done that with me. Brendan kind of reminds me of him. People need to cut him some slack. My guess is that Walker will kill Seamus and set Brendan up. Brendan will go to jail, thus, Emmett leaving the show. That way, they can have it where he's 'forced' to leave Ste. He can always be there in the background though (Ste getting letters/phone calls from him), so we don't get to actually see Brendan, but we 'feel' him there. Then if Emmett decides to come back in a few years, they can always 'find evidence' to prove him innocent and get him out of jail.

Yes, there's been talks/rumors that Doug will have his own storyline and might be paired up with Hollyoakes Legend JP McQueen..I think the show will test the waters first because JP had a huge fanbase with his ex Craig
