Great lesson. Sir I have a question ❓ when companies starts preparing master budget? Do they start preparing at the end of year when audit is also going on or the very beginning of the year?

Thanks, glad you liked it. It really depends. Usually, you'd want to prepare the annual budget in the last quarter of the previous year. That way you have time to fine-tune it and get management/Board approvals before the new year starts. You can then start tracking your performance against the budget from day one of the new year. Some companies would also have rolling budgets, where you always have a budget for the next 12 months, and after each month ends, you adjust your budget with actual numbers and then add another month in the end.
