@@cowboysnation6053 That you can count on. Once Rayne Dakota gets his contract. He will have a more experienced QB Coach(Doug Nussmeier). Both Dak and Kellen Moore will learn much from what Coach McCarthy and staff are bringing. Dak will learn how to prepare for opponents better. How to script the first 10-15 plays in a game. And how to use the entire field. Defenses will not stack the box as much. Both Zeke and Pollard will be unstoppable on the ground. This is what wins.

While I am definitely not a cowboy fan I can as a fan appreciate and acknowledge the accomplishments of Emmitt Smith. His love for the game was very apparent especially when he hobbled out of the locker room and played hurt. His recognition of family, coaches and teammates was well thought out and spoken with class and respect. Definitely one of the better speeches that I have heard.

Simply one of the greatest sports moments of my life. To see a man who reached the pinnacle of his sports acknowledge the sacrifice of his teammate. Those who know football understand. Those who don’t will never know how much of himself Daryl gave up for Emmitt. That is what makes a great teammate, and Emmitts humility is rarely seen in todays generation of me first athletes.

By FAR the best hall of fame speech EVER! One of the best speeches ever by the Best Ever. Thank You Emmett for every thing from a life long Dallas Cowboy fan- the last few Romo years. After my brother pointed out to me that Romo wasn't a winner. Winners don't walk off the field smiling after a loss nor smile thru a press conference after a loss. Winners are mad as he'll after a loss. Emmett you are a Winner. Love you man and God Bless.

The Great Wall Of Dallas was and is still the best OL the games has ever seen. So the question becomes did the OL(and the Moose) make Emmitt the greatest? Or did Emmitt make them the best. I answer the same way as with Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. Joe and Jerry made each other the best ever at their positions. And the same with Emmitt, the OL and Moose Johnston. They made each other the best. And in turn made America's Team the best. How Bout Them Cowboys.

I'm going to play The devil's advocate but unfortunately as a huge Dallas cowboy fan I'm going to be impartial. Barry Sanders is the greatest running back ever in my mind for a lot of reasons.one reason would be if you know anything about how short his career was and how many yards he had at that time then you would realize if he would have continued on he would have crushed the record so long as he stayed healthy.he simply retired because Detroit wouldn't trade him and he said okay to heck with it I don't care about beating the rushing title. He would have surpassed Walter Payton within a couple of years at that time. You're listening to someone that has been a cowboy fan since I can even remember. Having said that, Barry Sanders was just the greatest in my very humble opinion.go back and look at footage of his greatest runs on KZbin and try to be impartial

@jstube36
@jstube36 5 жыл бұрын
I know the feeling. Those days were special indeed. I am fortunate to have experienced every bit of it. Of course now the team is a mere shell of what they once were. Winning in the NFL is a cycle. The teams that are great now may not be later. Even the Patriots were door mats and will be again. So as our Dallas Cowboys are in the dark. They will rise again. And if these rumors of Urban Meyer become reality. The return of America's Team to where it belongs will happen sooner than later. They WILL RISE AGAIN. How Bout Our Dallas Cowboys
@choice12ozborne
@choice12ozborne 4 жыл бұрын
@@jstube36 so since you made this comment I came back to read. As you know now Urban Meyer did not pan out.in some way I think we came out better get in McCarthy because he has a proven NFL record as a head coach whereas Urban Meyer doesn't have NFL experience. You know as well as I thatthere have been a few coaches from college who bumped up to basketball or football in the pros and didn't work out so well. Particularly the NBA.there are some exceptions of college coaches jumping up to pro sports such as Pete Carroll amongst others. Think that we have a good coach now.I am not one to think that Tony Romo should have been made head coachbut it wouldn't hurt to bring Tony Romo in as possibly a quarterback coach and or some other offensive coach. Have you ever seen Tony Romo breakdown plays before they happen??? it's a jump to go from an analyst who is very good at their job if not the best right now to being a coach in the NFL which many people have called for.assistant coach yes to get a little experience and learn the system of what coaches exactly do in specifics.sorry about such the long message that if the grammar weren't so bad should go down as a pamphlet... LOL. So we've got a good coachnow and I'm optimistic more so than I've been in a few years.but just like every Dallas cowboy fan I'll see what I've always said which is we'll get them next year man... go Dallas cowboys!
@jstube36
@jstube36 4 жыл бұрын
@@choice12ozborne When the possible candidates for replacing Garrett came up Meyer was the name that jumped out. He has such a record of winning. And he knew Zeke as much as anyone. That alone made me want Meyer. But I am very glad the team went with McCarthy. Coach McCarthy has been coaching in the League since 1993. And he is vastly in favor of bringing the West Coast Offense. Something I wanted for the Cowboys even with Romo. The WCO and Dak Prescott are tailor-made for each other. His best is yet to come. And the same with this franchise. America's Team is Born Again Football. And we The Cowboys Nation are Born Again Football. They WILL rise again. HOW BOUT OUR DALLAS COWBOYS

The Moose was as good a lead-blocker as FB ever. And he was an underrated receiver. it was Bill Walsh who forever changed the role of a FB with the way he used Tom Rathman. Rathman did carry the ball a little more than Moose did. What both did was paramount in the success of two Championship offenses. Perhaps not HOF worthy. But certainly worth being forever recognized for the impact they had.

Barry Sanders was the greatest running back ever. I'm a cowboy fan and have been since I can even remember. Emmit had Daryl Johnston who was a great blocker. Barry Sanderswas in route to getting probably 20,000 ydes if he continued to stay healthy.he retired after only 9 or 10 years at his peak.he simply retired because his team stunk and they wouldn't trade him or release him from his contract. Go watch Barry Sanders greatest plays on KZbin and then go watch Emmett's greatest plays on KZbin.Barry Sanders was in a league completely by himself and it took in it quite a few more years then Barry Sanders trade to pass Walter Payton whereas Perry would have passed away within 2 seasons. Again, I am a huge cowboy fan through thick and thin and always have Ben but I'm also impartial when it comes to recognizing

@@choice12ozborne Barry was a phenom but he choked in the playoffs. They had great teams there but seriously go look up Barry Sanders playoff stats. It will open your eyes to the truth. Emmitt lead his team to what every athlete wants and that is to be a world champion. Barry didn't want the records, he didn't even want his heisman trophy. I lived those great days. And while other backs were faster or had better moves, Emmitt was the COMPLETE package. Running, Catching, Blocking. The question really is this. Did The Great Wall Of Dallas, the best OL the game has EVER seen, or did Emmitt make them the best. My answer is they made each other the best ever. Barry was great as well. But as one who saw Walter Payton, I can say both are on equal footing. Like Emmitt, Sweetness was the whole package. Makes it fitting that it was Emmitt who passed up Walter. Both were very similar. @@jstube36 shit it still gets to me when he thanks Moose. He knew without others he wouldn't be the 🤴🏾, and yet Emmitt was the one who kept going even after his dynasty comrades had fallen. To me, he's ALWAYS been better than Barry, and it's mad annoying when people say "if Barry hadn't retired he'd be the G.O.A.T." or, "but Emmitt played behind the best o-line of all-time". Yeah, he also played for his CHILDHOOD team, meaning a hidden level of self-motivation that VERY FEW can ever attest to as another X-Factor. And Barry had Pro-Bowl talent around throughout his WHOLE career. It's not Emmitt's fault that Barry left early cause Detroit is cursed. Let the 🤴🏾 be the 🤴🏾
