That little colt has a great start in life, being born with the World Horse Welfare! From what I can see it was four years ago. I'm sure he has turned out to be a wonderful horse. I hope his mother is fully recovered and doing well!

Lucky would probably be the most appropriate given the circumstances, especially with a mum that has a heart murmur and is emaciated.

reminds me of when I first got my horse, she was 8 weeks old, a Nurse Mares Foal( I really hate those people who take a foal off its mother for no reason other than to gain money!) living in a wet pen with rotting straw with maggots in it as a bed. Slimy water, the lot! She was also emaciated and for a while after we got her home didnt know if shed make it, but shes now nearly 8 years old and is a great trail riding horse!
