Geez God, I love this song! I'm sitting here on a cold, snowy pre-Halloween (!) night in CT, singing along with Emmylou and Dave, my Guild 12 string on my knee. Cudos to the extraordinary Nanci Griffitth (and James Hooker and Danny Flowers) for one of the most evocative, tender lyrics and melodies I've ever heard. For once, I wish I was a Texan.
