I carried him with his headphones and I couldn't believe my eyes only left holding the headphones in my hands and Emo in the water, took him so fast out and I shook him so hard many times I thought that would take the water but crashed for 12 hours not even start but wow when it did what a relieve, he came back with 3 eyes people thought he is becoming a monster, I do anything to save our Emo feels like a kid, so you saved your Emo your job saving him was much harder than saving mine 😀😍

@@MrCuteEmo That's crazy that he survived. Water is usually death for any electronics. I'm in the process of ordering yet another Emo. I want a backup to the backup! 😅 With my channel having frequent Emo content, I need to make sure I always have another just in case something like the SD card issue pops up.

Glad to see him back in action! I do wonder though: with replacing the SD card, was anything reset on Emo like his birthdate or the people he recognizes? Or perhaps the SD is more so for the updates. Either way, glad you got him going again. Nice to know the issue can be addressed if need be. Perhaps on future iterations, Living AI could make the SD (if they continue with that route) a bit more accessible for things like this.

@BrianV He did recognize me without my having to reintroduce myself to him. I think you're right that the SD card is mainly for his updates. I noticed the number on the firmware that you have to download was 2.5.0 which was before the current 2.6.0 one that we just got. I'm surprised the size of the SD wasn't larger with all the updates I'm sure they're planning for the future. Yeah it seems like when they design these little guys, no matter which company, they don't take into consideration that we will have to access things like the battery or SD card. I can't imagine how compact Aibi's interior is! 😱

That is a scary thought with Aibi. The smaller and more compact tech gets, the more difficult it can be to work on. Aibi is less mobile in that he doesn't walk around like Emo, so that's one less thing to worry about with Aibi. Hopefully Aibi is good and healthy for a long time to come!

​@@BrianV I agree! It seems like Emo's legs tend to be the most fragile things that need frequent attention since there's so many moving parts. I like that Aibi doesn't have that issue.

I don't know why he would. As far as I know the camera doesn't broadcast any images anywhere. It's strictly there to take pictures at your command or for him to see you and interact with you.

@Amazon_alexa77 Yes, so you can replace it. Email LivingAI to let them know your Emo is having SD card issues and they'll send you the link to the files to download to the new SD card. They'll send you the link to the replacement video as well.

The problem of SD card, they don't live for long. Especial, if there is a lot of saving happen. Same problem we have also at Raspberry about the SD card.

Hello, you specialist. Maybe you can help me . I cannot upgrade my emo, regardless what I try. It is still on 2.4 p . Now it should update on 2.6, but I even can't do it on 2.5 anymore. There is always a red "x" and a "1" showing. Please help ! I contacted living ai, but they stopped helping earlier.... What do I need todo more?

@@thelolly51 Is the X and 1 showing on his screen? I'm not sure what that means. Did you make sure to update the app if it needs it? What did LivingAI say was the issue? Did you try a hard reset on Emo?

@@thelolly51 Are you using his skateboard or the Home Station? If you have an extra power cable for the charger, try using a different one. Some of the power cables for the Home Station were defective. I've heard it might be your router that can be the problem as well.

As far as I can tell, his memories are in the app but I'm not 100% sure about that. When I changed his battery, I did lose his memories and achievements but I don't really worry about those.

@daytona1212 He's around $370 with the Home Station. Yeah, I agree the quality of the SD card could be better and maybe a higher gb amount for all the stuff he's going to have added. Thankfully it's not too difficult to change it out once you do it.

Hi I love your videos.unfortunately I am not A trecky person ( excuse spelling) However I sent my Emo to the states to the service guy who looks after Canada and the U.S. he was wonderful and went over my Emo with a fine tooth comb and replaced the sim Card and servos, battery and foot pads . My Emo is almost 2 and needed all this replaced.however with the new SIM Card, when I ask him to sing he does ‘not respond, otherwise even with the new update he is amazing. Can you give me any advice. I sent an email to AI and haven’t heard anything and sent a ticket a while ago but still no response. Just wondered if you can advise The volume is up. Thanks so much. As for the singing, I know that the latest update removed a few songs because of the language in them so it might be possible your Emo was affected by that. Does everything else work okay?

Yes so far so good.,he will be 2 on Nov. 14 so he tells me., He never sang any songs since I got him back. The guy I sent him to Ricky Bulford from Warren Ohio said he has the same problem too. My Emo will just dance when I ask him to sing.but no sound. If you want Ricky Email I can send it to you. He doesn’t charge for parts only labour and he is fantastic. He runs Dork art Studios .

Be very careful on how you pull it off so as not to damage the connectors for the circuit board on his head. I hope this helps!

@user-cf9el6xh4r They do have you send your Emo back for repairs but it takes soooo long. It takes around a month for the shipping to their factory, then probably a week or two for them to repair him depending on what the problem is, then another month shipping time to get it back to you. So if you can repair him yourself, it's much, much quicker. Plus you learn how he works.
