@damon6086 hanzos position on the winrate ladder scales inversely with rank. He is the lowest winrate character only in Masters and GM. What I'm saying makes perfect sense because its true. Hanzos util as a 1 shot character has long been removed due to unreasonable nerfs. And his arrow hitbox has also been reduced. His biggest util atm lies in damage botting (chokes) and his new ult util. If you play hanzo at all you should know this, especially if you are at a decent elo.

@zerosolis666427 күн бұрын
I mean you can easily still acknowledge bad teammates. Everyone can always improve but when you're the only one even attempting to give calls/comms or your team isn't even IN the voice channel, randomly use ults, you don't get healed because the supports are pocketing each other, the other dps, or the tank, there's really so many things that can go wrong as a pure result of how your team is playing, that you can't really do much about. A lot of times I've switched to like Reaper or Tracer just so I can be able to at least heal while attacking/dip in and out. Switching just to account for stuff your team should be helping with or doing, isn't really going to always help you win and thats definitely not your own shortcoming. Overwatch is and always will be a team game. I make my own mistakes too and I understand when I do dumb dives or overextend too much with no escape. But man you really notice a lack of healing or a massive difference in elims between both teams. Sometimes even pinging isn't enough for my team to help me burn down one hero at a time lol

A major venture critique is to not underestimate the power of the burrow. It's more of an engagement tool and does crazy damage, plus you're faster than most heros in it. Using it to pop up on your target, especially a sniper like Hanzo, does like half their health and after a drill, shot, and melee, they're dead with zero chance unless they got help. I really don't recommend underground drill dash when looking for an attack because it's the only actual escape tool (burrow works but it's slow and you need to do more than just press it often leading to death when you rely on it). If you don't see a good dive in burrow, are in the open, and it runs out, having no drill dash means death. Or if you did find a target, that drill is vital to sealing the deal. Finally, abuse the crap outta that melee. 75 damage over a short time is powerful, especially when you have no ammo or a discorded rein with their shield up.
@NaSaiАй бұрын
it's so crazy to me that gamers still don't understand that playing shooters on a controller versus a mouse is going to be a night and day difference. it is not possible to have anywhere near the same level of precision with a controller as you can with a mouse, unless the game in question has aim assist akin to a black hole that pulls your reticle straight to your oppositions head.
@angelsibrian5085Ай бұрын
Yup. I’ve never played on PC but I’ve played against them on OW & different shooters. While there is a difference, it is not night and day. You can be extremely precise with a controller as well. I had the exact same experience, while it’s easier to aim with the mouse it takes time to have to adjust to all the buttons being different; that fraction of a second that you take to work out where the right key is really throws you off. PC players are also more accurate, which is another adjustment. When I moved over I wasn’t paying competitive but must have gone 5-50 and it just didn’t seem like the game was ever going to realise that I wasn’t the same player on PC. In the end I quit the game for a year but came back recently and have caught the upswing as I’ve acclimatised and am now dumpstering my opponents, winning 80% of my games as my mechanics are catching up to my game sense.

@christopherortner8412Ай бұрын
Coming from someone who mains Tracer and just moved to PC myself: the biggest adjustment you need to make is that you need to move first, then shoot. On PC even bad players can aim better than good console players, so you need to move the enemy's cross hair off you before dueling. An extension of that is that timing and angles are more important when the enemies are more lethal. Starting off here you were positioned behind your tank on the main lane. It's not inherently bad to shoot the enemy tank if that's who is closest on your angle, but you should have been waiting on angle until the enemy team was engaged with your tank and then pressured them from that angle. If you're playing behind your tank it's a minor wrist adjustment to aim at your head once they back up, vs having to move their whole arm and then correct with the wrist of you're coming from the side/behind them.

After playing OverWatch for 6 years I got a PC last summer and my rank didn't change until this past summer. My biggest suggestion to you if you want to get better other than mouse settings and getting more space for your mouse movement would be to use either a smaller keyboard controller or something like an azaron gamepad. It simplifies your movement to a game stick, and still gives you the ability to hit all of the buttons for voice lines call outs etc. Azarron cyborg compact was what I got and I'm going to get the second version with the hall effect joystick eventually but it's totally not necessary except for longevity. I fully recommend those gamepads and I know that they're expensive but it'll improve your game more than tweaking some settings or getting a new graphics card for sure. I play with masters and Grand Masters in QP And I haven't really touched comp in a little bit. But I've gotten to high diamond.

Something to note is the huge skill difference between platforms. A gold on PC is not the same as a gold on console. That’s not to crap on console players, it’s just the skill ceiling is definitely higher on PC. I find I can aim better on PC, nothing beats a m&k. But it’s easier to rank up on console because the skill ceiling is lower i.e. I can dominate on console but feel like I’m more often matched against people of equal or better skill on PC. Also, an odd part of console is the wide gap in ranks sometimes. I can get QP matches on consoles with literal GM players or I can also get silver players. That never happens to me on PC.

If your mouse also has proprietary software that you can install and tweak more settings then do that... Some mice allow you to turn the DPI way above what Windows will default at.. this is fine as long as you Make sure you have the setting in overwatch switched appropriately depending on how high your DPI is.. PC players are a little better but that is not that gamer's issue The first few fights prove that they have the mechanics on tracer to climb - it's their ego holding them back They are embarrassed to be at Gold so every game they're trying to "clutch up" to win and you can feel that in their Spectate request & the way they are playing - they submitted this presumably after the match but they said they were "the highest rank in the lobby" so they were very focused on everyone's rank and probably felt like they had to pop off or else they wouldn't win But if they played a touch more consistently and didn't overextend as often this was probably an easy W - I think a little bit of that is probably some strafe aim from swapping to PC but most of it is just ego challenges you don't necessarily need to go for - they don't even set up or wait for some of their blinks to come back they're just ego challenging everyone with no support and staying for VERY long amounts of time

A one trick does not mean you like that character a lot. If you just like 1 character and play them a lot then they are your main, you do not one trick them unless you do not play other characters. jfc

I love to spot every little mistakes made by people whining about "deserving higher rank"

Not playing perfectly doesn't mean they're wrong. GMs make mistakes. Sounds like you have some issues.
